  • When it comes to money, people have a lot of opinions but I hope you enjoy this super super transparent money content! It was honestly really eye-opening to see just how much money I was spending each week and then for the whole month. Are you struggling with budgeting? How much money do you spend in a week?
What other money content videos do you want to see?
In this video, I break down my expenses for the whole month of October (2021) and I mean everything! From rent to my car payment, to insurance, everything! I am a 23-year-old living in the Dominican Republic working from home remotely, and this is my monthly budget.
    What are your thoughts?

This is interesting. I was 23 back in 2001 and I added up what I spent in a month back then based on what I could remember. I was spending about $2500 a month give or take in Atlanta, Ga. That was with credit cards, rent, gas, groceries, car payment, ins, eating out, entertainment, internet, phone, etc. some months it would be a bit higher depending on travel or buying big ticket items. I felt like I was broke as hell then lol! I was also a recent graduate making what I though was decent money back then. Today, starting salaries haven’t changed much over 20 years later! That’s the problem! A recent Graduate shouldn’t be coming out of school now making what I started with 20+ years ago!

You are so beautiful, thank you so much for sharing this information. You did just fine on your budget. You've identified areas where you can make changes to improve your budget. I like how conscious you are with your spending habits.
Wow $5 a gallon for gas there! It's a good thing that Uber is so reasonably priced there. Premium gas is about $4 per gallon in Virginia Beach.
    Great video, thanks again ❤

You should go to Café Santo Domingo. Now they have Starbuck like cafés and you can buy mostly the same thing as in Starbuck without abusing the wallet. lol They have places all over Santo Domingo. Off the top of my head, there is one on the bottom floor at Ágora Mall, in the atrium. Not only its cheaper, but that's Dominican through and through from the workers, the owners, many of the engredients they get from Dominican farmers too, basically almost everything is Dominican. Plus, they are just as good tasting as Starbucks.

Great vlog, the Turo side business is very smart! I spend half of that during my short term stays, finally in the process of purchasing my 1st property in the beautiful country 🇩🇴 .-Callaway 🤞🏾🤞🏾

If you decide to stay permanently in the DR (give yourself a year before you decide in favor or against that), as a Dominican citizen you qualify for moving your stuff including your car free of taxes when it arrives at the Haina Port. First, you have to apply I think at Aduana and that's a formality, any Dominican citizen is accepted for this. They only do it once during a lifetime.

Cool video .. u learn to live with what you get when you have it. I thinks it’s awesome you did your spend budget. I’m not shocked on what you spend if you have never done a detailed spend budget. When u start running a company u look at every bill .. U should do a debt to income ratio.. I just got my self to watch 18 percent and I hope to get to 5 percent in the next 24 months.. I have learned how to plan meals and eat outs are always expensive .. But I think you on your way to make a good change .. I did a spend budget to see what I was spending then did my budget after that.. ..
right now my blessing is I own my home in Austin.. stay safe

You’re so pretty!!! And yes your grocery spend seems way too high, your videos make me want to travel to the DR what cities would you recommend? I would’ve expected your total spending be less somewhere around 2500. I spend about 9-12k a month it really depends, but thats for a whole family of 5 people total. Video ideas: I’d like to see you apartment/house shopping whenever you’re ready for that and maybe like a going out video or walking around the city and showing us what everything is like

I live in a nice area so no, not really. I don't go walking alone at night or anything that would put me at risk, but I go on walks during the day and feel completely safe. :)
