when I open any attachment in the quickbooks it shows the error, failed to open file, the specified file was not found. what is this issue or what's the solution?
Hi Rex Long story short. I followed your example but my backup is a little different. The last few steps are not the same. And I'm not getting the backup completed. don't know what to do. Sorry for the inconvenience.
If you are trying to transfer the QBW file, make sure to close QuickBooks, go to the location that it resides, select all of the files/folders associated with the file (this includes extensions .QBW, .QBW.SearchIndex, QBW.ND, and .QBW.TLG) cut and paste them to the new drive. If you have the file open and are uncertain where the files are located, go to FILE > OPEN PREVIOUS FILE and the file at the top of that list is the file that's currently open along with the path to the location of the file. Just make sure to close QB before attempting to move the file.
Thank you for a fantastic tutorial. It really helped me to get a grasp on how to Restore from a Backup.
Thank you for the easy to follow instructions.
Thank you so much! Excellent video.
Glad it was helpful!

If i backup the file would all my invoices that i previously made delete?
Nope
@@RexJacobsen what about the invoices that I made after the date of the backup file?
@@norbertruiz5110 if you restore a backup, any transactions entered after the last backup will not be restored. So backup often.
@@RexJacobsen ok thank you 👍
