What I love about watching videos on this spot is how chill and friendly everybody is out there. That is the way the lineup should be. Surfing doesn't need to be angry.

It was awesome to watch. It was such a casual kind surf session. Not much competition for waves. Some nice right handlers with a occasional barrel.

Awesome footage...just takes me back there. Got stuck inside at HT's on a good size day when my leash got caught up in the reef. Not fun, 5 minutes of getting drilled while the board bounced on the reef along with my body....but after few stitches had a great sesh. Another great vlog - Thanks!

freind of mine got stuck on a h/t reef couldn't get to him rode 3 waves to get in the zone ran over him once ,one dude paddled for maybe 15 mins to get hold of him , lucky he was one of them hawiian triathlon competitors , t mac good job saved my mate

That place is sooo fun! I stayed at Mama and Papas for about a month 10 years ago, there wasn't much there back then. I wonder if they are still alive. Super nice people. I have scars from the Surgeons Table on the inside, that's probably where your leash got stuck.

This looks like a 2 swell wave with very different directions wrapping round the point and combining with each other. They make great days because the paddle is easier than the size of the waves would indicate because they cancel each other some of the time.
Let's appreciate the effort they put into these amazing animated stories.

Hey Nathan , thanks for the great videos .!! Could you one day try and explain or give tips on how not to go over the falls and avoiding hitting the reef or bottom when falling inside the barrel (front and backside) especially in bigger waves . Probably you do so naturally but for less experienced surfers trying to surf bigger waves in a safer way it could be of much use ! He he thank you again !

this break is actually my great uncles surf spot he discovered in the mentawi's his name is lance and theres also a "lances right" its absoutely incredible to be seeing my favourite surfer surf this spot.
