  • The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 is one of the easiest prams on the market to fold and open - it can be folded with one hand, and popped open in second.
    However, for some people it may take a little bit of practice to get it to go super quickly and smoothly.
    You can also start slowly when first learning how to fold the baby jogger tour 2. Use both hands while you're getting a hang of the mechanism, and open out each section one at the time when unfolding.
    The key tricks:
    * Ensure you're fully engaging both grey buttons, one at a time, before attempting to fold.
    *Apply your brake to make it easier to control the stroller.
    * Keeping in mind where the fold joins are when folding and opening - this can make all the difference!
    *When opening the top joint MUST engage BEFORE the lower joint.

      @ParentingCentral hi can you please tell me what skateboard will attach to this tour pram?? Thank you xx

    • @ParentingCentral
      @ParentingCentral  Před rokem

      Hi Jessica, unfortunately there are no skate boards that officially fit the tour 2 or that have been designed to be compatible. If you're looking for a universal skateboard a couple of things to be mindful of, firstly tour 2 hasn't been safety tested with a board so it may not be safe to attach one because of the tipping hazard.
      You'd be looking for a skateboard where the connecting "arms" go up because the only place they can attach to the frame is above the basket.
      Also you want to find something that sits as close to the frame as possible because of weight distribution dragging a board on a small stroller but this means you'll possibly have trouble reclining the seat.
      I hope this helps!

      Mine will not fold at all it's like it's stuck

    Mine doesnt lock completely and the handle bar constantly disengages once it is folded. Is that the way this stroller is designed or did i get a faulty one?
    Thank u and i appreciate ur help!

    • @ParentingCentral
      @ParentingCentral  Před měsícem

      The handle bar doesn't lock in exactly, but it also shouldn't be completely floppy and loose either. There should be some resistance. But if you lift up on it then it will release and open up.
      So in this video you can see when I'm holding it by the carry strap the handlebar stays in place.
      But then at 2:57 I just pull the handle and it opens up easily.
      So if it's flopping open while holding the carry strap then it might be faulty. Otherwise it's how it's designed for quickly unfolding.
      I hope that makes sense. 😂

      Also the latch doesn't always engage the first time when folding and needs to squeeze the frame together. Like the front wheels sometimes get in the wrong angle. I tried to demonstrate it for this video but it was behaving a little too well for me and folded perfectly every time while the camera was on.

    Does it still fold the same with the belly bar? One comment said wheels needed to come off in order to carry on - is this true?

    • @ParentingCentral
      @ParentingCentral  Před 4 měsíci

      The belly bar needs to come off to fit it into the bag for travelling. But for everyday use, putting it in the car etc you can leave it on..it just sticks out so it's not as compact.

      @@ParentingCentral ok, so it does fold with the bar, but not as compact? Is there a video that shows what it looks like? I searched the internet and couldn't find one.

    • @ParentingCentral
      @ParentingCentral  Před 4 měsíci

      I'll see what I can find, if not I'm sure I can make a quick video.
      Also I just realised I only half answered your question.
      With the wheels it could depend how pedantic the airline is being about the exact dimensions. It can be a couple of cms depending on the airline - but taking the wheels off can help get it over the line.
      Although best tip for getting on board with a stroller is to line up and board the plane as soon as possible. If you hang back until most people have boarded, no matter the dimensions of the stroller, the flight crew might still decide to take the stroller off you because it's too much hassle if you can't find a spot in the overhead lockers.

      @@ParentingCentral Thank you! Have you had a chance to evaluate the Zoe Traveler? We are debating between that, the Baby Jogger Citi Tour 2 Eco, and splurging on the Joolz Aer +. I haven't been able to find many reviews at all on the Zoe Traveler and our main concern is it's ability to handle uneven surfaces/cobblestone when traveling.

    • @ParentingCentral
      @ParentingCentral  Před 4 měsíci

      @momoney2321 I'm not familiar with it exactly, it looks like it's just in the USA? But just looking at the pictures online it looks like a stroller that would be mass produced and rebranded for a few different independent brands. Especially when it doesn't look like it's available in stores.
      Although with those types of brands they're usually small owner-operated business, which has pros/cons compared to big global brands like Joolz, Baby Jogger, bugaboo, etc
      I did also find this video review - czcams.com/video/0y0_TrJti30/video.htmlsi=F7i0RmHl1jggFveJ
      With uneven surfaces/ cobblestones you're probably not going to get a great performance from any travel stroller. If the performance at the destination is a priority I think it's worth considering a mid-sized stroller and checking in as luggage.
      Although the Joolz Aer+ does feel noticeably nicer to push compared to the city tour 2. So there is better, but it's never going to feel great with little wheels over big bumps.

    Can you take off the wheels, and when the big wheels are off: What's the width? (I'm a bit worried about it not being accepted in the overhead compartment)

    • @ParentingCentral
      @ParentingCentral  Před 10 měsíci

      I don't think taking the wheels off makes a significant difference to the width but I can measure and get back to you. General tip though for getting them onto the plane is lining up to board early as you can.

    • @ParentingCentral
      @ParentingCentral  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Update - taking the front and back wheels off does make about 5cms difference both ways.
      With wheels is about 50cm X 60cm and without wheels is about 45xm X 55cms.
      Check with the airline, but I'm fairly sure a lot of airlines even if they don't let you physically carry it onto the plane with you if they take it off you at the gate they'll give it back to you at the gate at the destination so you'll have it through the airport/transfers.

      @@ParentingCentral 45cm width is better.. but the company I am travelling with say 35cm is the maximum width. But I think maybe they'll let us bring it along anyway since most carry on baggage is wider than that anyway. Thanks for taking the time to take the measurements!
