Interpreting Stratigraphic Columns: A Detailed Example (sed strat)

Interpreting depositional environments from sedimentary rocks is a key skill for geologists. It requires solving a mystery - or getting as close as you can to solving it - by recognizing key features preserved in the rocks. In this video, I illustrate a roadmap for making reasonable interpretations. In other words, there are some good techniques for collecting and putting together the clues from observations in the rocks. I've written out this process here: geo.libretexts.org/Courses/Un...
