Interlaken, Switzerland - Grand Café Restaurant Schuh - Paragliders Landing in Höhematte Park

The Grand Café Restaurant Schuh has an outdoor patio (or terrace) on the edge of Höhematte Park in Interlaken, Switzerland. This large park, right in the center of Interlaken, is where many paragliders and hang-gliders land. They launch themselves from the high mountains and cliffs around Interlaken, drift down over the city, and land in the park. The Grand Café Restaurant Schuh is a wonderful place to be able to sit and watch the paragliders overhead and landing while enjoying beverages or some snacks. We had a Hugo Spritz, a home-made Swiss hot chocolate, and a plate of locally made Alpine cheeses. This is a must-visit place for people who aren't interested in paragliding themselves, but would enjoy watching them.
