Received this request very recently while I've been slowly working on two other videos and decided to fast-track it before the other ASMR Channels get ahold of it. Integrative Medicine Nurse Carol Joy has an incredible voice for ASMR. If you like this video, there are two other clips of her on the UMMC page. I cut out a few background sirens, cellphone notifications (although not all bc it chewed up the acupressure continuity) and mic inconsistencies, as well as ironed out the audio for ASMR. Definitely my favorite thumbnail thus far- very aesthetically pleasing to me. Anywaysss... Hope you enjoy!

I don't get tingles, I only get relaxation via soft spoken unintentional asmr....such as this video. Soft spoken words (from a person with a soothing voice) are the best!

I’ve worked at this hospital and have seen this work for our patients. In other hospitals I’ve worked in this was also utilized for every age group. It may be seen as a scam but even so, for some people it works! I’ve always thought that it was because of the ASMR aspect of it all. Gentle voice, gentle touch, empathy, and quiet and mindful attention to the patient.
Placebo is a wonderful thing when it comes to recovery pain and when the problem has been resolved with real medical care
Hopefully the hospital don’t use it to cure the actual illness/problem
"energy" doesn't flow between two points... But I guarantee that someone soft talking and gentle touching me would make me feel a million times better. Sick or not

OMG I knoooow! Her soft spoken voice is so deeply relaxing.
Here is when I’d usually say that the phoniest health stuff is the most relaxing, but it seems like she works with sick, injured, or elderly folks and I bet receiving this is actually wonderful for them.
Yeah, the spiritual stuff is bogus, but it is extremely relaxing to be touched and whispered to. Can offer loads of pain relief and relaxation.
It's probably the ASMR that helps, not the other stuff

Id pay for this treatment; it’s super relaxing.
They wouldnt be using this if there wasnt demonstrable data behind it. This and the kooky university of arizona lady who doesnt even touch the patient basically show how much humans need each other in close proximity. Also this kind of thing isnt an intervention like surgery or medication. This kind of stuff is to get the patient to relax and reduce stress after all the meds and surgerues, which will get the patient out of survival mode and into recovery mode.
To illustrate: i have a family member who is a doctor. They mentioned to me only yesterday that they suddenly have a lot of patients (and NOT vegans) with B12 deficiency where they were ingesting more than enough, so it should be impossible for the deficiency to exist. The world being what is in the last 1.5 years or so, i replied “it’s all the stress isnt it?” They said that is their working theory; their stress is so overwhelming and they arent managing it for these patients their bodies arent absorbing enough of the B12 present in the diet. Interesting, no?
My own medical and mental history has taught me the ability to relax and let go is of vital importance, because fight or flight mode is impossible to sustain for long periods of time without severe consequences. Asmr is totally part of my relaxing toolbox too!!

Hello fellow asmrists. I find playing with the new controls and slowing and speeding these videos up sometimes gives me tiggle overloads. Especially if the voice is right. (She’s pretty good on fast and slow speed)
