This edible glue recipe is also on my blog and contains in depth information about edible glue:
    www.arisecakecreations.com/ho...
Sugar Glue / Edible Glue Recipe
*Clean Container for storing the glue
¼ tsp CMC or Tylose powder
1/3 cup of boiled water (that has cooled slightly)
This recipe is for a small quantity to get you started if you need more, just double the recipe. Take a clean container, add 1/4 tsp of CMC or Tylose powder, then add 1/3 cup of boiled water (that has cooled slightly), pour the water over the CMC or Tylose powder give it a stir or a shake. Leave it overnight or for at least for 4 hours until cooled to room temperature. It may look cloudy at first, with lumps, but don’t worry about this, the lumps will dissolve, and you will be left with a clear solution, that can be used on any edible creation. Once made up, it must be stored in the fridge and can be kept for up to 1 month.
Equipment Used for The Gumpaste Moth Orchid:
    • 28gauge white florist wire - For the whole flower
    • 24 or 26gauge - For the buds

    • Foam petal/flower former (or alterative former clean apple crate or egg carton)
    • Paint brushes - For edible glue and dusting petal dusts
    • Tweezers
    • Foam pad
*Spoons for Sepals and petals to dry in
    • Sugar glue* Container for storing sugar glue if you make it yourself
*Lemon extract or high alcohol content vodka for mixing petal dust
    • Petal dust - Colours according to the colour of the flower you want to do
*Edible Colour paste if you colour your gumpaste
    • Corn flour/Corn starch - To prevent gumpaste from sticking
    • Trex/Crisco/Vegtable shortening - For conditioning gumpaste

Hi Sarah thanks for sharing, please May I know how much such an orchid will cost?

    • @AriseCakeCreations
      @AriseCakeCreations  Před 3 měsíci

Thank you for your comment and question. The cost you can charge for sugar flowers, will depend on where you live - cost of your materials and your time/labout costs. I would suggest you look into other cake decorators or sugar flower makers in your area to help you know how much you should charge. I hope this helps🌸🤗
