I’m Fern! A 20-something gal living on beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada with my partner, our 2 dogs, and around 200 houseplants. Plants have changed my life - I love tending to them and sharing the joys and discoveries of my planty journey online. I am passionate about all things living and I have been vegan for over 5 years - it was the best decision I’ve ever made. For those into astrology, I am a gemini sun, scorpio moon, & libra rising. For anyone wondering if the linearis can take lower light situations. I have mine in a room with a north east facing window approximately 8 feet away from the window. So it's a pretty low light situation and it is still giving me some decent growth. It will likely never bloom in this light and it's definitely not optimal but it's still working out quite well.
I totally agreed, it is so easy to care for! It was my first Hoya and it bloomed first year for me 💁♀️

I have a huge linearis in an 8 inch pot and I was sooo scared when I got it. It’s so easy and grows like CRAZY. I’ve taken so many cuttings and started pots for people and I don’t even care to cut on it cause it grows so well 🥰

I got my linearis as a few small rooted cuttings and it’s finally grown out to a point where I want to prop it! Although out of the blue last week a mealy appeared on it and I don’t know how it got there or where it came from lol

I found the cutest H.linearis for$28 on a 5" pot.Guess what!... its on the struggling bus.I just put some on water and some on spagnum.I hope some of it survives😭

Funny enough my linearis started to flower after I discovered mealies on it! I've treated it since and it's okay but I'm just waiting for the blooms to open. I heard they flower when they are stressed out so I wonder if the mealies had anything to do with it 😂
That plant is so pretty! I heard they were difficult Hoya too, and felt intimidated by them. Glad they are easygoing in your care ☺️ and I would love to see any more in dept care for any Hoya really...well, I just got a Hoya Bella and I hear they are fairly easy. My question is when do water? Some leaves are soft and some a hard on the same stem so I don’t wanna drown my plant 😭

I love mine too, it's growing but it does have try tips on the leaves. Could it be from over watering? I lives in an indirect bright spot with 65 - 75% humidity

Hoya don’t need nodes to grow roots. They have nodes all up and down INSIDE their stem.. so you can’t see them. If you put them in water you’ll notice roots will grow from all over the stem!

Are there any special care tips for the Hoya Polyneura or is it general like other Hoyas? Aside from the Linearis, my Polyneura is my favorite Hoya. I’ve seen yours in some vids and would love to know your secrets if any 😊
It's pretty similar honestly! The only problem I've had with mine is leaf burn... so be careful about too much lighting.
My $100 one got mealies! It is recovering

I got my hoya like 2 months . it had mele bigs and after I treated it . many stems was already dry from the base so I had to cut it and repot it but leavs looks very dry and droopy. I water it every 4 days we have hot weather here. so show I just keep watring or what can I do to save it ?
I find they can be thirsty, so maybe increase watering. It depends on your pot/soil mix, but if it's drying out I would water more!
I have some black spots on the underside of my leaves and for the life of me can’t figure out why
Does it get a lot of light? Sometimes Hoya get spots from sun/light damage
