Is there anybody who has actualy scratched with this using Traktor? I don't mean just go back and forth on the jogwheel but actual scratching? If so, what was it like?

Does your headphones work when u cue? Because when I cue there's no sound.
just did the mapping , this works , not 100% because of some little problems like the browser search button witch jumps not one by one tracks and other stuffs but there's something to do thanks .
i actually feel a way comfortable with my traktor kontrol s2 mk2 .
thats odd, because my browser search works perfectly, it even loads the track into the selected deck. Yeah, the Kontrol systems are designed by Traktor, so naturally you'll feel comfortable. Thanks for watching and please subscribe :)

hey man, great video! one of the first i've tried to follow which actually worked perfectly! Quick Q - any idea why the tempo fader is so sensitive? And the scratch wheels are not sensitive at all?

Hi Joe! thanks for watching, and thank you for the positive feedback. I've recently come across the tempo fader being sensitive. and its usually down to the amount of % rate you have it set to. because the faders are so small to start off with, having it at 100% compared to say, 16% will have a huge difference in sensitivity. You can alter these within the settings menu. In regards to the scratch wheels not being sensitive, I've never come across this but I know there are some settings to play around with this. I've never messed with that stuff as I know its really easy to mess up the touch sensitivity. But, no harm in trying if you do mess up, just reload the TSI file and you'll be back to square one.

I must be something wrong because I've downloaded all the maapings I could find for my DDJ-SR and could not get it to work. Maybe I'm not setting up the Traktor config right. Could you help. Thx
Hello, thank you for this! I have a question, my headphones are always on when the master is on even if the CUE is off. When I hit CUE it goes louder, when I hit CUE MASTER it goes more loud. Repeated your tutorial step by step a few times now.
Check your settings within the audio assignment settings in traktor. it cant really be anything else

You can change this within the settings. It difficult to find, but trust me. its there.

Hey thanks for the video its been working well with Traktor so far for me with my DDJ-RB. Now, I was wondering how to add the filter to the mapping on traktor. It doesnt seem to be shifting on mine, and I cant figure out what setting it is within Traktor to have that common filter effect either wiping out all the bass or wiping out everything but the bass ( i dont know what the filter is called so thats probably why i cant figure out how to fix this lol)
and none of my effects seem to be working either, both with my controller or with my mouse...
firstly, check and make sure you've done all of the in/out ports correctly. This has to do with effects/filters too. sencondly, as you have 2 or 4 effect filter systems, you can apply these to various decks. so make sure you're applying the correct filter to the correct deck by selecting 1 or 2. It took me a while to understand this function. but it does work quite well.

Hi there, good tutorial. But I have a problem with the cue option. When I play a song in cue mode, volume at 0% I hear the song in my hadphones but also out loud on the main speakers (while the volume is at 0%..) how to fix this?
i think your audio setup is incorrect. go back and follow the video very carefully, pay attention to the audio routing.

Hey bro. Firstly, thank you for the helpful video. Also, I have a DDJ-SR Everything seems to work with the mapping except the Audio. The audio is even being send to the controller as I can see the LED meters light up next to the faders but, nothing is being sent out to the speakers or the headphone. Can you help me out with this?

ok cool, so it all should be plug and play just as the video shows. However, the LED meters jumping doesnt necessarily mean the audio is being sent ONLY to the SR/RB. These controllers have the functionality to send audio back to your mac and play out through the built-in speakers. You dont want this to happen, so you neec to re-route your audio and tell traktor the send audio through the controller only. first, make sure you have downloaded the driver also, you will need this. restart your machine when you've done it. then, under traktor settings, (6:50 on the video) check you have selected your controller ONLY. Let me know how you get on...

is this only compatible with older versi6.8ons of Traktor like 2.6.8 like in the video?
Traktor software releases usually only fix bugs. so a lot of the background software is the same. So, it should be compatible with newer versions.
Running Traktor on a Mac OS X 10.7.5, I cannot open the TSI files and driver while trying to import them on Traktor, but rather I can open them out of Traktor, then a setup opens, allowing me to instal the driver and TSI file, though it doesn't allows me to access to a DDJ RB option on Traktor after that... Any ideas ? Thank you.
Hey Ken, when you're installing the TSI file, ignore the fact that you're using the DDJRB as the controller. NI or Pioneer does not support the DDJ RB officially to work the Traktor. So instead, you're going to be 'pretending' to use a DDJSX as the controller. So continue the setup with this in mind. Let me know if you need further help. Thanks for watching!

I have tried downloading this mapping but traktor tells me that it doesn't recognize this tsi file as compatible with the software when I try to import it. I have Windows 8.1 btw
what version of traktor do you have? its unusual for traktor not to recognise its own file type.

there is no TSI for the RB. it has never been made by pioneer. so instead, you can use the TSI for the SX. dont worry about it saying SX, it will still work. Im using that exact same file in the video. try it, see how you feel. it cant do any harm. if you dont like it, remove the tsi and settings and you'll be back to normal.
i have an sr2 and when i import the sx tsi it tells me that i have no ddj sx controller conected, what can i do??

pads do work, but not correctly. the TSI is for the SX, just use this for the RB. Its on the Pioneer website, and in the description.
my ddj-rb doesn't show up in the control manager. What can I do?
You've got a problem with the drivers. make sure you are downloading for the correct OS. restart the PC/Laptop after driver installation. is your controller lighting up when you connect your USB cable?

if youve found a virus on the tsi file, you have a virus on your computor. there is no way pioneer website would issue a virus infected file. good luck with that!

FX should be working. check your settings. ensure you are assigning each deck to the correct FX module.

Yeah, it should work. But you may find some things wont work 100%, like the needle touch search. But I may be wrong. Give it a try, whats the worst that can happen? Let me know how you get on.
Ok Cool. But anyways, if I were you. Do it on DDJ RR, Rx & RZ. Because there's another youtuber already did on the RB. I think you should do alot of controllers that could possibly work with Traktor's mapping. Trust me you'll get alot of views. I'll definately subcribe bro. Peace

so far when i try to use this it freezes Traktor for me as soon as I restore the TSI file on my windows laptop
steps I have taken is download and install the RR driver and I have this controller
then restore the settings file as suggested
after this Traktor starts freezing up even before I start to change the input and output routing

Why buy RB if you're not gonna use Rekordbox? I think SB2 would have been a better choice bro. Much more VFM (once you dismiss the software).
The RB has a very classic Pioneer layout. The 'Play' and 'Cue' buttons are typically laid out on the bottom left, just as they are on the CDJs. This was my main reason for going with the RB. The location and feel of those important buttons make a lot of sense. The SB2 has no major differentiation between the 'Pads' and Play/Cue Buttons. Also, the layout on the RB is an 'Exact Copy' layout rather than a Symmetrical layout like the SB2. So you find that switching hands for the tempo adjust can be annoying. Whereas with the RB, everything's the same no matter which deck you're focusing on. So, what makes you feel the SB2 could have been a better choice?
I totally agree, RB's all black finish looks dope and the CDJ style transport controls look more appealing. But, that's all it has going for it!
SB2 does differentiate b/w the pads; the performance pads are illuminated in red, play/pause in green and cue and others in yellow. They look great and you'll have no problem telling them apart.
RB comes with a license but it strips away:
- 4 deck mixing
- Slip mode
- Key lock
- Pad Trans/Gate effects
- Filter Fade
- Headphone mix
- 1/4" Headphone jack
- Multiple FX banks
- Auto Loop controls
Some of the features can still be enabled from the s/w but it's always better to have more buttons 'coz you can remap them to anything you like. Trust me, SB2 takes the cake!
Yeah, 4 deck mode, auto loop control, FX banks... A few features I could have done with. I guess its just down to personal preference. For me, it was those button locations that sold it to me. For someone else, it'll be something else. one thing I really can't understand is why Pioneer thought it was a good idea to get rid of the 1/4" Jack and replace it with the 3.5mm? Stupid choice really.
Yes, it's so tough choosing a Pioneer controller. They give you this, take away that.. and they've been f*ing like this with their mid range controllers too. DDJ-SR, DDJ-SX, DDJ-RR they all have something the other doesn't.. it's just so FRUSTRATING!!

the rb isnt that a copy of ddj sb2
its similar, there are a few changes. mainly the play and cue buttons. a few other tweeks. 4 deck mode etc.
can you make it work with the ddi 1000?
