I only started to listen to Taylor after she started the ERA tour and all the hoopla about difficulties getting tickets. I enjoyed some of her songs. Did see,enjoyed her film. She has my most respect when i founded out, she donated money to every cities she performed at during Era tour. Because it was NDA, San Francisco food bank disclosed her donation was enough to feed 500,000 peoples a month for 1 year! She just a kind hearted person. I love Tay. And I'm old.

You have Prime Ministers like Justin Trudeau, who actually tweeted Taylor Swift & her camp, asking her to perform more in Canada?!?! I would've thot she would've already included Canada?!?! BUT Justin Trudeau went to see her perform I'm sure with his kids in one of her LA concerts!!!! Don't get wrong, I believe he LOVED the concert!!!! BUT what World Leader, oth than where there's Dictators, wouldn't WANT Taylor Swift to perform considering how much it has BOOSTED every country's economy where she performs!!!! So, she now is in Vancouver BC for a few nights & Toronto for a few nights!!!And 2ndly as ouI don't know?!?! He said the oth week, in a press conference, that he wzn't really thinking about retirement yet!!! PLUS...I think he'd miss his team, esp Pat!!! They Chiefs are STILL on top of their game!!! Even w/ ups & downs, they are solid come playoffs! You can't EVER UNDERESTIMATE the Chiefs!!! The order of Taylor's discography includes her self-titled debut album Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, folklore, evermore, and Midnights. She has songs that aren't on her albums, like Ronan, which is a song about a little boy who died of cancer just before he turned 4 yrs. old. Long story short, Taylor had been reading Mya Thompson's blog (I think I heard that Mya had met Taylor after one of her concerts) after Ronan passed away, Taylor called Mya, she had to leave a message, anyway Taylor told her she had written a song for Ronan. Taylor gave Mya writing credit and the proceeds go to fight childhood cancer. Taylor has only sung the song 3 times when they did events to raise money for cancer research, Taylor sang it at one of her concerts one time and that was for Maya who was at the concert. About 2 years later Mya and her husband had a baby, they named her Poppy Ronan. Ronan had 2 older brothers (twins), There is a slide show video with the song on YT, if you listen and watch will will need a tissue or 2.

Elizabeth Olsen deleted her social media because people expected her to say and do stuff when she was just trying to use social media like the rest of us. To me it sounds like she (Sunny) doesn't hold Taylor to the same level as the others, like, BECAUSE she is an entertainer she is NOT good enough/worthy enough to hold that title, EVEN THOUGH she has accomplished something incredible with the economy of your country and, dare I say the other 3 countries she already came to.
I love Sunny because she KNOWS the law and when they talk about law-related things I love her input. But so far every time Taylor has been brought up (Including in 2015-16 with the phone call debacle) she has found a way to diminish her accomplishments or to accuse her of something.

Don't know if she likes her or not, but it definitely comes off as a no. I also think as a musician and entertainer if you are going to bat for every cause and vocal on everything it starts to take away from your art and the conversation starts to go sour. Its a pick your battles thing. Taylor spreads love and joy through her art. She touches lives and makes them better through her donations, love for her fans and generating money for the economy (along with BEy) which she is credited in part to why we havent hit a recession. FYI re Bruce Springsteen - he DID do fundraising for Biden and even performed at the Innaguration. Not sure why his name got dragged into this conversation honestly as maybe the panelists forgot he actually does do stuff for Dems because he realizes the extreme risk of not putting his celebrity on the line and it hasn't affected his career one bit for doing so. That's just a side note because while I personally am not a Taylor Swfit fan musically, her power and influence cannot be underestimated so I fully respect her as a business woman, for the career she has (and I totally respect and love she 'took back' her music from a jerk producer and re-recorded the entire album just so she could fully own the songs - smart smart smart and also an eff you so she could reclaim what was hers), and also the truth that young fans who listen to her are listening and getting out to register to vote and to vote. While I hear Sunny's point about other viable options that were considered, I can't say I am upset she was chosen despite not being a Swiftie myself.

I am also not a Swiftie but I admire her as a businesswoman, philanthropist and role model for young women to work hard for their dreams. Two female singers helped boost the US economy this year, and one of them was Swift. She may also have led the charge in entertainers bypassing studios by getting distribution deals with theaters directly. And she is already producing her own videos. Could a full length feature film be in Her future? I think she was a good selection.

I’m not a Swiftie but Taylor Swift has earned this accolade over the past year. I’m ARMY and I can inform people that BTS has been doing the exact same thing over the last 10 years of their career. They’ve spoken at the UN regarding violence against children and climate change and LGBTQ+ rights. They’ve spoken at the White House regarding Asian Hate Crimes. They’ve also been Time’s People, Entertainer, Most Influential People of the year several times. Furthermore, they’ve donated $1m dollars to Black Lives Matter, they donate millions of personal dollars to the poor and they bring in 5.6 BILLION dollars to the South Korean GNP. And when their world tour got canceled they still paid their road crews their full salaries plus over $1 million dollars to help sustain them during their hiatus. But yet they get ignored by shows like The View for reasons about which I can only speculate. Anyway, congratulations Taylor! Keep doing what you’re doing and live your best life.
