I really believe there was absolutely NO ONE ELSE ON EARTH that could have played these parts in this movie other than this cast right here. One of the most legendary hip hop movies ever!
I 100% agree. I realize he's a phenomenal actor and have followed his career. I wondered why he'd want to be an actor and then Empire was released. He's doing both careers all rolled into one, pure genius to succeed using both of his spectacular talents.
As a former HipHop artist way back in the day, this was my favorite scene in the movie. All musical artists can appreciate the creation process that this scene put on full display
Dam near dropped a tear when that white boy started putting that beat together then they got Crunk, i was 14 years old jumping on my momma couch talking bout whoop that trick lol 😆
Jesus, the first time I heard this in the theatres it was amazing to watch the creative environment come to life and then, when you find that right set of notes and rhyme, you break it down and everyone just knows, there it is!
Sorry but they are only hoping to get money. Doesn't make it a good song. These "trap" songs are a dime a dozen. Every Spotify rapper and their brother has a song like this. It will sell 20 copies and they will be at the gas station selling copies for 5 dollars. Give me something different. I'm so over trap music.
Hate to burst your bubble, but "tricks" are the johns/punters who them street walkers make their cash flow off of... So if you've ever waited tables: "turning tables" & "turning tricks" will probably make a lot more sense now in regards to why they're such similar phrases, especially when you compare it with roles-reversed where "turning tricks" would basically refer to some guy who just plows through a bunch of prostitutes in a row for some gross reason, lol. Besides, whoopin' tricks is the entire reason a pimp's niche exists & endures, YA HEARD
@@saharlaguessalleh9801 Lol! I can't even throw anything back at that response bc you busted me: I'm 1000% blahblahblah-prone & hate doing it ~1/2 of the time, hahaha
