I agree! I asked them and they said for their Veja brand, they can take the sole apart and recycle into new soles. For other brands (placed in the other bin) they are not able to recycle since the source of the soles and materials is unknown, so they perform other operations with them.
It really is! I asked the workers and they told me that Veja brand shoes can be recycled by taking the soles apart and making them into new soles for shoes. For other brands (that goes in the other bin), since they don’t know the source of the soles and materials, they cannot easily be recycled. They have other more complex methods of upcycling or recycling those ones
