fun fact about his team final floor routine: he had to improvise part of it! imagine the pressure of winning gold on your shoulders and having to improvise
And why did he have to do that?
@@JoaoZamae He did a skill that he was supposed to do later in the routine. Because you can’t repeat skills, he had to change the format to avoid deductions.

I'm sure he had greater expectations for himself, and so did everyone else based on his 2019 and early 2021 successes, but he still did amazing and shouldn't be so upset as he looked in the AA medal ceremony and after his defeat on Floor and Vault. But I doubt russian gymnasts get a lot of mental health support considering some other problematic responses I've seen from some of them over the years (I'm thinking of Komova always crying).
Nagornyy is the quintessestional gymnast! But will he be able to compete in Antwerpen 2023 and Paris 2024?
