This is so neat!! I always see crowded pictures of people visiting the wall, but it makes so much sense that there's so many more secluded areas too. This looks awesome!

yes, the wall is very long, so there are plenty of other areas. It's pretty fun to see more secluded areas! Just make sure to do the research before visiting :)

    The Great Wall of China
Did you know that you can camp at the great wall?
[cut to different clips of Stacey sitting in the tent, trying showing her tent in the bag, and views of the great wall. Title is shown: “Go camping on the Great Wall of China!”]
[cut to Stacey, standing right side of the screen. She is now wearing dark green raincoat jacket. Background scene: faded view of fog covering the forest and a neon blue tent set up on the left side.]
I also thought it wasn't possible to camp here
but did you know that the Great Wall is so long
it has miles and miles across half the nation
    so that means
[cut to Stacey, standing center of the screen. Background scene: green branches and black fences are shown behind her.]
The whole wall across the nation isn't all popular
There is one of the most popular ones where
that tourists usually visit that is closed by Beijing is
    Badaling.
[cut to different clips of BaDaLing, a section of the Great Wall of China]
[cut to Stacey, standing center of the screen. Background scene: green branches and black fences are shown behind her.]
but there are some areas at the great wall that
are falling apart that aren't being restored
and there are some others that are being restored
    it varies upon different areas
there are different walls with specific names
    throughout the great wall
and there are some where you can camp
I once thought it was impossible to camp
    because of its preservation and
it is considered considered to be of great importance
I later learned that you can camp when
reading different blogs about it online
and my partner said, "yeah! we can camp!"
I was excited but also I was overthinking:
what if there will be some problems?
what if we were caught by the government?
but then my partner and I talked about it, and
he really wanted to go for it. So, I decided
to go for it despite my fears
it's because I only have one life, so why not try this?
in the future, the government probably will
add extra security at the great wall
[cut to Stacey and her partner, Jason. Both are squatting on the stone floor at the Great Wall. Jason, a light skinned Asian male with black hair. He is wearing red jacket, black pants and black Nike shoes. Background scene: Half of the concrete stone walls of the watch tower at the Great wall. Half of the wall was fallen apart and being held up with steel structures.]
now we are about to set up the tent
we are thankful that our Deaf Chinese friends
    lend us their tent!
Jason: it has been one of my dreams to camp here
[a video sped up fast of Stacey and Jason stetting up their tent.]
[cut to different clips of the Great Wall of China]
[cut to Stacey, standing right side of the screen. Background scene: faded views of mountains with fog, and the great wall with one watch tower behind her.]
it has such a beautiful view here.
Other than Badaling, there are areas like this one
    you can do camping here
    you'd hardly find people here!
not so much! about 1, 2, 3 - very few people.
    it's perfect
i already see few people camping here.
you don't even need to make a reservation here as well
you may have to pay entrance fee, and there are
[on the left side of the screen, black texts are shown: “10-65yuan entrance fee + additional fees may apply.”]
some other areas where you don't pay the entrance fee
just make sure to check out about it
it's perfect for you who love photography,
want to avoid the crowd and want stress free place.
[cut to Stacey, standing center of the screen. Background scene: green branches and black fences are shown behind her.]
if you want to camp, then you
    go out on your own,
or go out with a group of friends,
or you can also join a tour, and a guide can take you
there are Hearing guides, but maybe Deaf guides ?
it is also important to know that
    there are some entrance fees!
it really varies upon different areas and entrances
there are maybe additional fees due to
camping there. So that would be a camping fee.
if you don't have a tent with you,
you can visit the local stores,
and see if you can rent the tents
which you may be able to rent for 1-3 days (or more)
and you can just return it back after the trip
or you can just ask a local friend to borrow the tent
[cut to Stacey, standing left of the screen. Background scene: wooden brown wall are shown behind her.]
these are some of the areas that you can camp:
[on the left side of the screen, white texts are shown: “Gubeikou, Jinshanlin, Jiankou, and more” along with Chinese characters of these list. Icon cartoon images of the Great wall, tent and green check mark are also shown]
    but there are different rules
so you have to know what are the limitations
maybe there are some areas that will allow you to
    camp on the Great Wall
and there are some areas that do not allow that
instead you can camp on the side, on the ground
they would only allow you to camp on the ground.
    so there are different rules
there are some areas that are falling apart
just make sure to be very careful when exploring,
because it's likely to fall down and get injured
I'm not responsible to anything that happen to you,
while you're camping at the Great Wall
you're an adult and already aware of your own risks
and the laws and rules that you are supposed to follow
just research, and ask around before visiting!
go for it! oh my gosh, it was an amazing experience.
the scenery was beautiful, and there were
hardly any people, just very few of them.
the mountains were amazing to see
i was completely astonished with the starry night sky
although it was really freezing and i was cold!
when you are traveling and you have a bucket list,
    try to go for it!
don't keep skipping them and then you'd miss out
because as you get older, you'd look back and regret it
and wishing that you've done them.
just try it out when you can, because
    because life is short!
[cut to Stacey’s sitting inside the neon blue tent, smiling and closing the front tent’s door.]
    peace out!
[cut to an image of stacey’s standing center, looking down smiling. Background scene is brightly blue sky and surrounded with white sands. On the left side of the image, a logo of Deafinitely Wanderlust is shown. In addition to different social media icons and mentioning the name of social media handles (Facebook, Instagram, CZcams accounts are all @deafinitelywanderlust. Twitter is @deafwanderlust). On the right side of the image, a typography logo spelled out “Deafinietly Wanderlust” and a smaller font stated “through the eyes of Deaf female traveler.”]
