Mrs fruit is free. She will eventually eat your starting cherry and then she's worth more than the cherry, plus you can now add other fruit without worrying about filling your deck

If you take the item wich makes everything in corners adjacent to every symbol you should put wildcards in corners. They will automatically be the same value as the most valuable item on the board

That being said, anything in the corner is already adjacent to the wildcard with protractor. This gets crazy with flower builds haha

I think hex of emptiness is absolutely crippling. It really limits your ability to add symbols, and therefore to create synergies, and therefore to genuinely win.
The most broken run I've had is suits with the joker and gambler. Got a telescope halfway through and each suit would double as a wildcard for about 4000 each.
new item idea: the kidnapper: 50% chance to drop candy, destroys adjacent toddlers, permanently gives +2 for each toddler destroyed.

In fairness, if you had a Bartender or General Zaof, the Barrel of dwarves would have probably worked.
That being said, the hex screwed you over massive time. XD
Skip the protractor. A few moments later get the wildcard in the corner + the diver. XD
Devil Deal is a great late game item if you can use it to skip the final rent.
I suggest switching arrows in the middle to make sure they hit at least 1 item.

Arrows in the corners are on average worse, I suggest putting them in the middle instead.

Just from watching there are two things I would recommend. I believe the diver eats crabs (and maybe turtles too) and you skipped rather than taking them a couple of times. I also would have recommended taking bot the witches you were offered as your board was filled with spirits.

Arrows and other cumulative bonuses are not additive but multiplicative. Two silver arrow pointing at the same item will give out 3×3×item value so it's 9×item value, not 6 like you believed earlier.
Next time you're like "hmm my deck has too much bad stuff" and then skip hex of destruction I'm going to die.
Hex of Destruction is fine until it destroys 4 out of 5 of your jokers and 2 of your card sharks while you have tons of suits and you've been playing for 2 hours and singlehandedly watch an item pick you chose at the start of payment 3 completely unravel the strategy you've been curating for an eternity
Hex of destruction is good, but the removal is completely random which makes it less good. If there was an item that let you destroy x amount of symbols, that would be cool
Bad take tbh, you cant stop it from destroying stuff, so when it does its job and destroys your bad things, youre jist left with a good deck and a hex that will destroy your good stuff. There are too many hexes that are completely un-takable imo

@@ijones36 certain hexes are ok, certain ones i cant find a case for taking them. The worst offenders imo are destruction, the one that causes you to skip rewards (we saw that one basically kill a run here), and the one that makes you less likely to receive rare symbols. Obviously there are symbols and items that synergize and make hex runs possible, but as is they are more harm than good.
I've been playing this recently and honestly, it's a breath of fresh air for me. it feels very good to shy away from some of the competitive games I play. Rougelikes will always have my heart.
My last run I got like 20 crabs, 3 beastmasters, a bunch of random beast and beast buffing items and I got to like 8000 gold rent in endless mode
Edit: oh yeah I got the Spyglass item which makes symbols’ adjacent effects apply to the whole board, so those beastmasters went crazy on the crabs
Im convinced spyglass is an automatic win, that has to be the most broken item in the game
i had a run with card shark a 200 gold a turn archaeologist a few jokers and the spyglass and got a turn of 10.000.000+ gold i don't know how it worked that out but long live endless

The music in this game is really good! I feel that a lot of games' background music is kinda boring but this is catchy as heck!
One route to go would be bees, water, and flowers. DF had a run where he made 1000000 dollars because of how much his flowers were multiplying

Idea for three new cards
Green magician (rare): 20% chance to make a card symbol of a random suit appear.
Red magician (uncommon)
Makes adjacent red suits dissappear, giving 10 cash for each
Blue magician (uncommon):
Turns adjacent black suits red, gives one cash every turn for each card transformed
from the looks of it, you don't HAVE to re-spin a column when prompted
>Mega chest will give 150 when destroyed, more if struck by one of the three arrows or the wildcard
>A key is already in the deck

The bomb blew up the doll, a suit, a wolf, a miner and a bartender. The bartender and doll was kinda useful but the rest seemed fine to loose
Hexes are so bad, the 3 coins are not worth having the chance to lose far more in the long run.
Hex of tedium is great if you get a synergy that needs common symbols but you've already got luck multiplying items and symbols on deck.
Tedium for a really good flower/cultist run tbh

BTW I've been playing Arrows and they only get better with bigger combos combined.
I think a good idea for the two item swap may be if you don’t have anything else but move an arrow into the middle so it guarantees to hit something instead of the walls

Protractors can get you over 100,000 with flowers per turn, just a tip, and you can rearrange cards I think

It made me sad when you took the wild card OUT of the corner when your corner symbol would be considered adjacent to EVERY SYMBOL...

Early game grab a dwarf toddler monkey and mouse. Take any consumables except banana that they would eat.
1st or 2nd item look for a big synergy item, a common one is checkered flag.
By then most of your board should be filled to keep up going allowing you to skip on everything that's not a synergy to your item or a consumable.
Try not to stack more then 2 synergy items into your game.

Have you ever heard the power of the plant ? I just had a broken run with telescope (items effect non adjacent symbols as well) that let force suns with plants using the recycler, I had had a role worth 6,000,000,,000. I had 12 suns and two flowers plus one of them got hit by golden arrow

i think the reason you keep getting screwed is because you keep losing the chances to get symbols. you can skip as many times as you want, but the hex means you might skip over the good symbols
A game that gives soft addiction to slot machines ? SIGN ME UP
the problem that keeps happening is the, occurrence principle. every permanent symbol that you have over 20 is reducing the possibility of a symbol from showing up. if you keep taking rocks, because you got a miner, you are potentially stopping the miner from even being able to be on the board, animals for a beast tamer, and so on. if the symbol that shows up is not directly more profitable than the pieces it would stop from showing up, don't take it. if your synergies can get 4 almost every time, don't take a questionable 2, because it reduces the chance of your synergy to even work, were you would have 4 and 1, you could end up with 2 and 1, or 2 and 2. once you reach 20 symbols, getting more should only be done if it will guarantee a higher payout. also, coal takes 25 turns to pay out at 1 per turn. 20 turns of nothing. that can really hold you back if you consider 1 item is already normally, 1 gold per turn. and coal also takes up a slot. if its not on the board, after 20 symbols are added, and it becomes 21, it doesn't even reduce its time while off the board.

In my opinion chicken isn’t that good because it fills your board with plus 2s and sometimes plus 3s which is ok but can ruin your chances of having other item synergies later unless you have carton
i'd really wanna see a rare called "Priest" who destroys hexes and gives 30. especially when your hex of emptiness wrongs you like that

Takes longer but you get more money in that time period than what you get from coal since coal is 20 turns of nothing. Coal is a better investment long term but the doll is really good

This game looks cool, although I think the main problem is the art. It commits one of the cardinal sins of pixel art: having assets at different resolutions. The items are a much higher resolution than the symbols and it makes it look really strange.
I feel like it helps distinguish between them, the only thing that really bothers me is the spin button and text outline being so thick
