    a little confused
    in last example about graphing inverse function the original function does not pass horizontal test as 2 x values has specific one y value
    as i understand ed before there is no way to be an inverse function

    The first graph of f(x) is not 1-1, and so f-inverse does not exist.

      It exists because the domain has a restriction. It is not one to one if all values of the domain of the function is graphed.
