Friend of mine in high school had a LTD like that one. He neutral dropped it in the school parking lot and blew the driveshaft. It was hysterical. Many neutral drops later and the transmission died. He junked the car after that.
I'm not a huge fan of light green-- I would prefer black, burgundy, or midnight blue... but I would still take her simply on account of the fact that she is a 1971 LTD, and is straight and clean. Too bad I don't have room or the finances for two classics... but very nice car. Hope you find a buyer who will take good care of her.
what a beautiful car, america that i loved (not like today with, plastic, computered, misshappen, japanized boxes). the car of the tv serial, "streets of S F". If you want to protect this car and be definitively efficient against rust , you should put grease everywhere. grease is the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind metallic bumper, under the vehicle, behind the repairs you can make (everywhere inside the body - hidden erea - instead of using paint), hollow areas (necessarily hidden, so no need to be aesthetic). For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and pour old oil everywhere each year. Rust almost always comes from the inside and welds. Handyman Experience - 35 years. From france
This looks the one that Efrem Zimbalist Jr drove at the end of the sixth season of The FBI (1970-1971) before the Kinney version of the Warner Bros. logo on its late 1970 original airing (plastered by the 1990 WBTV shield logo on DVD and Tubi).

I man I love it!!
It is a great car and went to a young owner that is enjoying the car.
My first car was a 1972 LTD 4 door pillard hardtop. Color was Ivy Glow with a 351W.
Bet that was like driving a couch.

Nice car and color. Needs the seats redone then it would be a show car
It definitely is a good car. New owner was going to get the seat done.
