Excellent tutorial, I've got a service to do on a combo I picked up the other day, so thanks for that. Have you done the rocker cover gasket on that combo, mine needs done too, but looks like the fuel lines need to come off in order to remove the rocker cover?

I have replaced the air filter, and mine looks more ungly and was water wet, as yours in the Video. So we can imganine, how bad the other filters. New filters and oil, if needed, is very important for the engine and it´s life.

I have owned my 2006 Opel Corsa Utility Gamma 1.7 dti van since brand new. I have only Used GUD filters (oil , fuel , air filters) 16th February 2021, I reached 400 000km on mileage, no major repairs, have not touched the engine, just wear an tear like brakes , clutch , ball joints , shocks, CV joints. The common issue is the Diesel Control Unit , has a dry joint( the solder on the circuit boards tend to crack due to heat as it is mounted on behind the engine (accessible from underneath) It's almost $800 where I live for a second hand control unit. I just located the cracked solder point an now vehicle does not cut out... sorry to mention, when the control unit heats up an has a dry joint, the engine cuts out completely! Lucky mine happened when I was in traffic, imagine it cut off when I was doing 180km/h
How do you unclip the fuel filter from the housing to drain it. I have looked on my haynes manual and isn't very clear, i want to drain the water from it. Great video though

Hi, if it’s an element and slots into a filter housing. That should be full of diesel Already so it’s literally just must swap and go. If it’s a filter with a housing that you connect pipes too then if the car has a lift pump (when you turn ignition on only you can hear fuel pump) then you don’t need to pre fill the filter. Cycle the ignition (don’t start) 3 times about 20 seconds a time. If it doesn’t have a lift pump Then yes pre fill The filter and start. I hope this helps.
@@JFezza thanks mate for the reply, pretty sure mine is the same as the one you did here, I might be inclined to add a couple of cups of fresh diesel to the housing so the new filter is well soaked.

Thought you had to remove the old diesel in the housing and put fresh diesel in to prime it before putting in the new filter.
Nope, very straight forward, pull old one out, replace seals, new one in.
Is the process the same for the combo 1.3 CDTI?
