He took jobs at Napoli and Everton and was relatively quiet then because winning trophies with either probably was too big of a challenge

Despite a Barça fan I really love Ancelotti as a person and a coach. Players who play under him seem to love him at every club he's been and that's a rare, not everyone likes the guy who decides his livelihood on a daily basis.
In terms of trophies, simply the best.

Raise the roof for Don Carlo! 🙌Totally agree with his managerial philosophy and core value. A person first, then a player. This applies to any member in an organization or company. Great leaders balance effective relations with quality results. Period.
So the key to his coaching is man management. Being one with the team, which would explain why he asked Kroos and I believe Marcelo for advise as they know Madrid more than Carlo and he respects/accepts that side of his squad

As a CFC fan [of over 50 years], although I have great admiration for Carlo, I have to ask what he saw in youngster Josh McEachran [whom he kept playing in his second season with us] and why he preferred the floundering Fernando Torres instead of the diehard Didier Drogba in the 2nd leg of the UCL semi-final 2nd leg against Man U in 2011. He doesn't always get things right. To be honest, Real were helped through the semi-final this year by the ref not giving Casemiro two clear yellow cards in the first half for bad fouls against de Bruyne and Foden [the bias towards RM and Barca is shocking]!
