    Fury did his best, but it just didn't work out. If we think he will adjust in the rematch, so then will USYK. No chance he will outbox USYK, pressing the KO will even be more dangerous because USYK will spark him out clean. By the way, USYK didn't win by split decision but by KO and Fury knows this.

      You are right that Fury pressing for the ko will be way more dangerous for him but from what i can see he defo needs to accept that risk to stand any chance at all of winning. It would be more dangerous for both guys in the fight if Fury just outright accepted he can't outbox usyk and needs a ko in the first half of the fight imo.
      He'd stand to get ko'd himself but at least he would also give himself a chance whereas trying to box he has zero chance albeit he's less likely to get stopped himself by not taking risks. I'd rather see someone take the risks and get ko'd while trying. I think the exact same goes for AJ and any other of the other bigger heavyweights if they're up against usyk.

    i actually hope Usyk retires because he's putting his trust in those judges a bit too often. He had a dodgy judge who unbelievably gave the 2nd fight to Joshua, he had a judge on saturday who gave it to Fury when the majority of people thought Usyk won by 1-2 rounds. Eventually he could come a cropper to a highly dubious decision. He's won everything. Retire now.

      I think the Saudi organizers were serious when they said they are trying to change the perception of boxing worldwide (that is, change the perception that boxing is corrupt and not judged fairly). Keep in mind that it took FOREVER for the scorecards to come out at the end of the Fury-Usyk fight. You had to feel that the judges and organizers KNEW that Fury should have been stopped in the 9th round and Usyk had to be given a close decision win to do 2 things: (1) to make sure that the right man won and (2) to set a more compelling stage for the rematch. A rematch would be less compelling for casual boxing fans if Usyk and been given a wide decision win.

    Big difference between adjusting for Wilder who is a very limited boxer to adjusting to a top class operator streets ahead in ability and boxing IQ

    • @importantvideos4529
      @importantvideos4529 Před 23 dny +2

      Yep... Plus adjusting tactics is one thing... But the one area he cannot adjust? Is having that talent himself. Fury is a pretty smart boxer inside the ring, and he has pretty good situational awareness. This combined with his size is enough for him to beat 95% of boxers. Unfortunately for him, Usyk is levels above him. As proof of this, go watch very closely how Usyk kept dog-walking Fury over and over in that fight, leading him back into a corner, and forcing him into crossing legs, and off-balance, and throwing jabs while square so there was no heat on those punches. Usyk was standing there waiting, and punching right through what he knew were weak jabs, because he lured Fury into throwing them. That's how he broke his nose, and that's how he nearly KO'd him in the 9th. Usyk did this over, and over and over, and Fury never even picked up on how he was being manipulated. That's a level of mastery you don't just "adapt". Fury would need to box for years more facing elite competition to acquire those skills, whereas Usyk has already mastered it.

    Fury will never fight AJ at all. Tyson would rather retire and say that he can beat Joshua than have Joshua beat the crap out of him which is whatcwould happen for sure. The boxers that Fury mouths off the most are the fighters that can beat him and he knows it. He gave Usyk a lot of lip and he has mouthed off AJ tje last 10 years and he cant beat AJ. I think AJ will knock Fury out. Fury is devastated right now that the middleweight beat him.but if Fury fought Joshua and lost I dont think Fury should be left alone at that time he might try to self destruct.

  • @Marco-bh9im
    @Marco-bh9im Před 23 dny +1

    He knows he lost, but he was still concussed, (happy new year). Fury was NEVER leading NEVER in control. The showboating was to elude fans that he was having fun and in control, but the reality was he knew he was not from the moment the bell rang as Usyk closed the gap & jumped on him immediately & hit him at will. Usyk put 4 rounds in the bag just to let Fury know he could get to him anytime he wanted to. And Fury felt the power & respected it, thus why he was weary to come forward because he was getting hit with shots from angles he couldn't see, other than the fact Usyk forced him on the back foot & walked him down & bullied him the entire fight. Fury knew from round 1 that he couldn't assert himself, nor smother, nor fight long as Usyk had an answer for everything. No version of Fury will ever beat Usyk, he's a good boxer, but Usyk is an elite generational talent. If you shrunk Fury down, he would get beat by the same low tier calibre boxers on his resume that he struggled with.
    After round 4 Usyk lead Fury into a false sense of security, tired him out & explored flaws & then put the hammer down & obliterated him. A fight may look competitive but that doesn't mean it's a close fight. Usyk dominated & AI stats prove it too without doubt. Fury threw more but landed less. Fury's best rounds were 5 & 6. Round 7 you could argue a swing round but Usyk still outpointed him even in that round. Even without the knock down, he still clearly won. Commentary can really cloud people's judgement. There was another uppercut that actually missed when viewed from a different angle, and the commentators where saying Usyk was wobbled. lol I don't think Usyk was ever hurt, maybe stunned a bit but nothing serious, he was never on chicken legs or wobbled. He took the uppercut, and the bodyshot, he then circled & about 7 sec's later he continued to walk Fury down.
    Usyk actually ko'd Fury who was out on his feet stumbling around the ring unresponsive for 27 sec's. Fights have been stopped or 8 counts have been given for far less. Ref stalled the 8 count three times & when he realised the final blow was about to come he jumped in & gave an 8 count that lasted 20 sec's. When he asked him to step forward Fury didn't know where tf he was. Fight should have been stopped! Usyk was denied the tko victory & robbed of the ko. Frank had ref and judge on the payroll. If you follow this sport long enough, you'll know about Mark Nelson.
    Fury's never been this hurt & humiliated, literally battered from pillar to post, by a middleweight. Broken nose, damaged eye sockets, looked like a fractured jaw, busted lip as he was spitting blood & if you were to see his body, he'd most likely be black & blue with broken ribs from all those bodyshots Usyk dug in. Usyk never takes a back step, he is generally aggressive, but he circles whilst doing it. This time he came straight forward & bullied with intent to hurt.
    KARMA, for all the insults, ducking the fight, trying to burn and age Usyk out because he KNEW this was coming. He never wanted this fight, and I doubt he takes the rematch. I think it's clout.. He most likely knows Usyk will retire, so then he can say, Usyk ducked him. But noone will fall for that. And he already admitted that had he by some miracle beaten Usyk there was no need to fight AJ, and he would have retired and not given Usyk the rematch, just like he denied Wlad the rematch. Usyk should retire, nothing more to achieve, this was a blow out! Finally HUMBLED by a rabbit, middleweight, small scared little man, gappy tooth, that he was going to smash and end, but instead he met the first man born from his mother to not only defeat him but END HIM!

    I don't think that so many have realized that Usyk fought in a similar way as Wallin did in his fight with Fury. Wallin throw a lot of punches, not too hard but still enough to make Fury use his leaning-on tactics and body shots.. Besides Wallin was just as close to knock out Fury in the 12th as Usyk was in the 9th. I think we must reassess these 2 matches.

    Fury went into the first rematch with Wilder knowing he needed to keep him on the back foot and just stick it on him. In the Usyk fight even during Furys best spell rounds 4 to 7 he was still largely on the back foot himself and having to work hard, he hit Usyk with some really solid shots which he clearly felt but never seriously put him in trouble and he kept coming forward. But when Usyk landed clean on Fury there was always sense of panic, he had Fury pinned in the corner several times and never the other way round. Obviously the 9th was almost catastrophic for Fury but i can't see what he will take away from this where he thinks he could beat him.

    I predicted Usyk would win by points. Due to his sheer work rate and aggression. The problem with Tyson Fury is he as not had a decent fighter in front of him as in technically gifted. All the fights his had have not been consistent since Wilder who cannot box but can punch. Fury as not got the same stamina or speed as in his feet. As I suspected his in decline sure he can box still he reminded me of Larry Homes in 4,5,6, round unfortunately he cannot sustained that to a guy like Usyk who just keeps coming for 12 rounds. Much as I would love a rematch I think it will end the same way... all boxers believe they can still do it unfortunately the body doesn't!

    The thing that will make Tyson Fury be thinking hard about wanting to take the rematch was the fact that Usyk seriously hurt him more than any other fighter. Fury had been hurt before like against Cunningham & Wilder but he always recovered pretty good, after Usyk had battered Fury & was out of his feet, I feel he never fully recovered & fought very cautious for the rest of the fight where as against Wilder he came back stronger, Fury knows Usyk will capiltalize on mistakes better than Wilder.

Just look at all the abuse he has hurled at Usyk over the last 2 years (“rabbit, sausage, ugly gap-toothed little f….r, middleweight, don’t want his belts I want his heart” etc, the shove at the weigh-in,) how he screwed him around for those 2 years when they were trying to make this fight, how he shoots his mouth off to hype himself up, how he uses dirty tactics (at least 2 low blows on Usyk, an elbow in Ngannou’s face, a forearm to turn Cunningham’s head into the punch etc.) He said himself that if he lost this, he must be crap. Obviously he isn’t crap, he’s a clever fighter who moves very well for his huge size, with good hand speed & reflexes, but this fight exposed his limits and the falsehood of his claims. I predicted an Usk win months ago on Counterpunch Boxing News. I also said that a loss by Fury would result in closer evaluation of his career as a whole, in which his only wins against “top fighters” have been the Klitschko snooze-fest and Wilder’s big right hand (x2.) More recently, he has struggled with (and been dropped by) an MMA fighter making his boxing debut, and a much smaller opponent who was still a cruiserweight until 2019. It’s not the resume of an all-time great.
