Hi Alice... I feel your pain:) I feel so lucky to have been born during what I believe to be the best three ( 1955 thru 1985) decades of music ever. I knew it even as a kid as it was happening but on the bright side for you.... you can still listen to all of the best music from back then as well as the good stuff that comes in the future. People like to give these guys a hard time about the obvious influence of Led Zeppelin, which is not necessarily a bad thing
    Its what they are
They seem to be getting more mature as musicians and as they grow into manhood their lyrics will evolve with life experience
They don’t try to be something they are not which is refreshing
And its NOT hip hop garbage or phony recycled computer logarithm so-called “country”
Thank goodness these young men are keeping the format alive

When they first appeared everyone around me said "They are just a Led Zeppelin tribute act" and the only reply I could think of was "Good!".. I've not watched an interview with them until now but they seem more like they were influenced by the same people LZ were and their sound is natural to what they know, which isn't just the sound of Led Zeppelin, but a similar vibe because the same artistes influenced them.
From what I've seen of them online they are a great live band and the world needs more of this stuff.

Thank you so much for introducing me to this group. I was put off by the name and never bothered to investigate what they were about. Totally different than what I imagined. Some of what I've heard so far is reminiscent of Zep at their bluesiest, which is not to take anything away from GVF as musicians. They have their own groove and sound and I'm looking forward to getting deeper into their catalog. Their parents clearly did a great job raising them. Thanks to them and everyone who has made GVF possible. We are all beneficiaries as a result. Seems like a very nice man. It’s such a turn-off when the interviewer tries to be “the star of the show.” This is just like an informal chat, and that he’s genuinely interested in them. I like that instead of coming with pre-rehearsed “sound bites” or “talking points” to plug their album they’re so far just listening respectfully and politely answering but with a little laid-back humor. He found and now listens to 1800s and early 20th century music for example as his main music, but he listens to the current music as a back-up. I've been at a family party event and all that was played was 1950s and 1960s stuff organised by a 24year old, because that is the music that she liked. I might play Greta van Fleet 'Edge of Darkness' and then after that Jimmi Hendrix 'Hey Joe'.

Jake's parents were great in that advice FIRST learning the acoustic right. I tell that every time to my children at daycare when I play my guitar and they intend to take lessons: FIRST learn the acoustic basics correctly.

They are one of my favorite bands and that's awesome they grew up on blues stuff. I grew up on rock really, like CCR, Guns n roses, LZ of course, AC/DC. But nowadays, being almost 40 now, I love the blues. I've gotten way more into that. This interview goes to show you they grew up right. They even did a cover of Evil by Howlin' Wolf.

Great interview Joe. I don't know this band but I have a lot of respect for them and their parents that raised them. Although they are very young they are very respectful to you and to the musicians that came before them.I always like to see young talent recognize the artist that laid the way before them and give them their proper respect due.

@@strangewayfaringstranger Thanks for turning me on to that song. They are very talented and have an extremely tight sound. The lead guitarist work on that Brown Gibson SG, or newer Epiphone copy is incredible. I hear the influence of many great bands and guitarist that were in their stride in the late 60's and early 70's.

All the bands I grew up on are getting much older and not touring as much and I was missing the music I loved and then I hear GVF I was blown away it was familiar it was that 70's rock that I grew up within the 21st century Now LZ decided to brake up in the '80s after Bonham died (rip) they had a true Blues/Rock thing going on and in the beginning, GVF did as well that is what drew them to me in the beginning but as time has gone on they have gotten more Progressive with their lyrics(writing) but the band still has that 70's vibe when they play that combination is what will keep me as a fan and make them different than anyone else IMO.

They have grown up so much! But when they were younger, interviews always had a sense of impending chaos! There was lots of yelling and movement. I liked them then, but I really love the new music!

They’re cool young guys! I’m surprised by their influences and knowledge of music considering how young they still are. They are really smart and some of their songs are great! I hope they keep going and evolve more musically.
This damn pandemic just cut their last Tour off after they played around the world successfully for a year. They were doing so well and then everything shut down.
They will comeback I assume and I wish them more success.
If you don’t like them, then don’t listen.
I’m tired of the negative comparisons. People are just jealous and petty.
    I like them!
So forget yourself if you don’t!
I don’t care what you think.
Go listen to Bieber then, you Jellyfish!
I like Rock! And these guys Rock!

I still love Tom petty rip to a legend I gotta say one of the most consistent artists ever as far as making hits. I’m not saying he’s the most intricate or best player , but songwriting he’s one of the greats.
