This movie did the Endgame-style credits before Endgame. Whatever you think of the franchise, I respect the filmmakers for giving the fans a satisfying conclusion, especially with that curtain call for all the characters. I wish Harry Potter had something similar.

My wife and I saw this in theaters opening night. We had also read all the books, and that fight scene with Alice’s vision never happened in the books. So even the most devoted twilight fans had absolutely no clue that was gonna happen. People screamed when Carlisle got beheaded. The theater experience was honestly comparable to Infinity War and Endgame.

Considering we have no battle at all in the book, I thought is was genious how they did it. Giving us an awesome battle, but never really killing anyone at the end. :) I'd read the books but searched for spoilers before going to the teather and, let me tell you, it was GREAT watching people losing their shit when Carlisle dies.. xD

The wolves actually don't age anymore once they've turned. Although they're not really immortal. They're actually willing/forcing themselves not to age because they always turn into a wolf which halts the aging but they can continue aging once they stop phasing.

Yeah, my stomach literallly turns when someone tries to justify the imprinting (aka grooming), people keep on saying "its not romantic until shes old enough".......like bitch thats what grooming is........grooming is when an adult acts as a parental figure in a child's life until the child is an adult in which its instantly romantic/sexual, im talking INSTANTLY like they are wasting no time tryna rush the girl into growing up just to marry the man who was literallly there when she was born.....like you've got to be fucking kidding me with that shit yk

When the series started, Jacob was 15, so by the end of the events in Breaking Dawn, Part 2, two years have spanned, making Jacob still a minor (probably 17 by the end of the series) lol it’s weird but a little bit less weird since he’s still a kid too and Renesmee is growing so fast 😅
And yes, werewolves do age way slower than humans so he’ll be okay with Renesmee in that regard :^)

  • @amandarowland
    @amandarowland Před rokem +3

when a vampire gets a super ability it normally stems from what happened or how they were in their human lives. Alec and Jane both had some kind of psychic abilities when they were human, bad things would happen to people that were mean to their family and good things to people nice to them. Eventually the townspeople thought they were a threat and deemed them as witches and burned them at the stake. Aro also is the one who turned them, he already showed interest in them when he seen them when they were babies but obviously they have rules about immortal children so he decided to wait and left them to their parents. Their abilities most likely stem from them being basically burned at the stake which had to be incredibly painful so now she can inflict pain onto others and Alec's ability reminds me of smoke (remember they were burned at the stake) which can rob you of some of your senses. They first got their abilities during a battle i can't remember which one. Also it doesn't look like it but Jane and Alec are supposed to be like 12 or 13.

This movie was the best experience I have ever had in a theater. I saw it in a full theater at midnight on opening night and the whole crowd was standing up and screaming through the whole fight. I was definitely one of the people yelling "what the f*ck is happening?" But I loved it when they showed what was really going on.
*Also, just to answer a question Robert asked, the werewolves start growing old along with the person that they imprint on. So if they imprint on a really young child, they will stop aging until the child catches up to them, and then they will age together (but wolves will still age more slowly because of the phasing). Stephenie Meyer said that Jacob will get to live forever with the Cullens since Renesmee will never grow old, he will stop aging when she does. So they can ALL live happily ever after.

I’m 100% totally with you! A lot of this series is more than a bit cheesy, drawn out, acted poorly, badly written, etc but over all I still love the series.
These movies are always on my list of go tos for me when I’m not feeling great or inside under a blanket with it pouring down rain or snow outside….just something about the setting in the Pacific Northwest mixed with the music choices, the colors and aesthetics of the shots, the balance of just enough excitement and down time (though sometimes the down time is a bit too long in certain films), and a cast of characters that I’ve grown to love. So for me for whatever reason I just find these movies to be a guilty pleasure but also comfort flicks in a way. I mean who doesn’t find a dreary and foggy beautiful forest setting with lots of beautiful rain and snowy shots combined with chill pretty music even a bit cozy?

I loved your reactions to this series 🥰🙏 really also loved the vision fake-out. Made the last movie more exciting but also shows us a very good reason as to why Aro would have backed off. I do like to think that Aro knowing what would have happened would make him plot to catch the Cullens off guard and destroy them one day. The Cullens would be the largest stationary coven outside the Volturi, plus they have a lot of support from other vampires. I can imagine the Volturi would start to gather enough talent to one day try and take them down...maybe even seek out humans like Bella with strong abilities visible before turning. Either way, that is one story I would have loved to see played out.

So yeah, he can live forever like the Cullen Family.

Well spoken, Robert. Well spoken. Stefenie Meyer wrote the philosophical debate ending in the book...and we all saw how well that played onscreen for the last Wonder Woman movie. She did say that she had wished she had wrote the ending in the her book the way they did in the movie. While watching, I ignored the chat the whole time because I wanted to pay attention to your and Vanessa's reaction...especially Vanessa's reaction to your reactions! Such giddy joy in her heart reflected on her face...getting to share this with you! Made my day! REAL men watch Twilight movies.

Definitely surprised when me and my wife saw this movie in theaters. We both read the books, and when Carlisle’s head came off my wife screamed in the theatre. She had similar (not as loud) reactions when all the other known characters started dying off too. It was pretty obvious we were the only ones that read the book because no one else really had that kind of reaction. Then when they revealed it all never happened, I laughed so hard and she was upset that they did that to her. I loved the twist though.

As much as I still LOVED experiencing the third act in the theaters in all its memorable, chaotic glory (the audience going absolutely BERSERK was unforgettable), I was unfortunately spoiled about the infamous twist from....well, CZcams. 😞
I was just randomly scrolling the comments on one of the final trailers trying to gauge people's excitement levels, only to stumble upon a comment that simply said something like "It's all Alice's vision in the end." I was like omg NOOOOOOO! I was so sad and pissed at humanity. Must have been someone from another country, or someone who saw the premiere or SOMETHING, but....yeah. Dunno who else was spoiled by that same comment, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one.
I still "mourn" for what SHOULD have been my theatrical experience to this very day. The only good thing that happened from that experience was me actively avoiding ALL comments on CZcams trailers until the movie's release and avoid social media. Valuable lesson learned.
Great being on this journey with you both!

When Carlisle died I screamed when Seth died I started crying...I delayed reading that last book for months 😅 because I was so afraid that they had actually cut deaths you know cause movies always cut details that are in the books...

They actually did use real babies but the replaced the babies faces with the cgi one because they did some kind of thing where they made the girl looked younger or what she would look like as a baby. They wanted the baby to look more like the girl that played older renesmee. They also did that with the even older at the end of the movie . It basically predicted what she would look like when she got older but she’s around that age now and doesn’t look like that 😂

Breaking dawn is by far my favorite book of the series, primarily because of the stuff where Emmett testing Bella. As well as the HERCULEAN efforts of Alice. This movie had the ULTIMATE bait and switch on detractors of this series with that vision. Yes, the CGI when he imprinted, and in this movie.....is ROUGH. But given things like the Scorpion King in the 2nd Mummy film, I can forgive Summit

  • @trinasp

They left off some of the characters in the credits that were in the first movie. Most notably was Casey Laboe who played the waitress at the diner that Bella and Charlene went to eat. Another character was Gregory Terry boys, who played Tyler, the one who almost hit Bella with the van. I don’t think that even had Ned Bellamy, who played Waylon, (Charlie)‘s friend that got killed by James and his buddies. It wouldn’t be that bad have they not included actresses and actors there were only one movie. I feel that everyone should have an odd, from all of the movies. That being said… There were some very funny moments in this last movie. Robert you had me laughing big time with your commentary. The first is when you said “she looked at me and longingly with her CGI eyeballs”. Hey Vanessa, when you referenced the doll, and also the glimpses of Chuck as me. Classic! But my favorite was Vanessa mouthing the words that he doesn’t know what’s gonna happen now. I was thinking the same time thing at the time.
