    My favorite part of the Elphaba sets off the fire alarm is the woman saying “oh no, not again.” This was one of multiple fire alarms during the first run of wicked in Appleton, WI.

      Probably cause by either 1. The system was just malfunctioning or 2. The excess amount of smoke set it off. Or possibly something technically was tripping the system

    1:15 that wasn't the only mishap in that show. Earlier when the Phantom is taking Christine to the lair before the climax the boat stopped so the actors had to get up and walk on water, so to speak

    • @AWlpsSHOW36
      @AWlpsSHOW36 Před 3 lety +5

      That's usually a common well known error when it comes to performing Phantom of the Opera. When the boat stops before it's meant to the performers are always instructed to get out of the boat and walk the rest of the way.

    • @ClassyContralto
      @ClassyContralto Před 11 měsíci +2

      Yes - yes they do. Especially if it’s a prop, set or costume fail that cannot be hidden or glossed over for the audience. Like the lack of a phone. There’s no way that could be hidden. Therefore the only possible reaction is to laugh with the audience or it becomes awkward for everyone. “Real pros” know when to adjust or when to acknowledge a fail.
