    Maybe you can also explain why it is much harder to abduct at the MCP joints in flexed position compared to the extended position, where it is a lot easier.

    Anatomy Zone is much better better than reading these crazy detailed textbooks. With some supplementation from short and concise review anatomy books and googling images, it’s all what you need for a medical student. I don’t understand why medical schools teach so much detailed anatomy when most of it is not clinically relevant, and then they wonder why medical students forget and hate anatomy.

    Hi one quick question: with an injury to the DIP joint, specifically a sprain to the joint capsule (which I'm led to believe is another ligament inside the joint/knuckle) what is the process of healing? Is it like an ankle sprain where you can continue to use it as long as the pain is minimal? Or is it something more serious like a knee injury where extensive time off is required with no stress or strain at all? Thanks

    Can someone tell me why often I feel the need to tighten my hand into a fist and do radial deviation until my wrist cracks?
    No pain but I feel like if I don't do it my wrist locks up. I think it's wrist instability but I want to know what exactly is wrong so I can fix it exactly.

  • @michaelflores7617
    @michaelflores7617 Před 9 lety +3

    As far as I'm concerned, movement medially towards the midline or towards the ulna is ulnar deviation, and not adduction. Movement laterally towards the radius is radial deviation, and not abduction.

    • @camicamiling3176
      @camicamiling3176 Před 9 lety +3

      It's the same thing. You can call it either way . The movement is still towards and away from the midline.
