12 mm socket

This installation is meant for 2019-2021 RDX but since 2022 didn’t change much, I’m sure it will be the same for that model year.

It actually looks easier than I thought it would. Good idea cutting the plastic with a knife and a cutter. Thanks for this!💯💯
So what I did was install the brackets on first, after lining them up onto the runners, and used a utility knife to cut where the brackets mount. It was just a bit easier than your method, and I did it by myself.
Thanks for sharing
glad it helped somehow 😅
Amazing!! Thank you for making a detail video explaining the tools and process for this install. 👍🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hope it helps you out!
I didn't need to take out the whole panel, as you can see it's lined to where you can cut it with a box cutter. it was simple. Thanks very easy install.
i am small enough I didn't even need to jack up the vehicle, heheh.
The Ebay link is no longer active..are they an actual Acura oem running board or aftermarket..thx..great video
It was aftermarket. I’ll see if I can find the new link. But I got them off ebay

Awesome Video. I purchased a used running board for my 2019 RDX and it's missing the bolts that mount on the body frame. Do you know the correct bolts that I need to purchase. Also are all the mounting bolt points are the same for the RDX. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the info going to do mine soon.
Good luck. If you use ramps, you'll need to have a car jack handy because after you install the running boards, you won't be able to back the car down as the running boards will catch and hit the ramp on the rear tire. So you will need to lift the rear end to take out the ramp. I should have noted that on the video. But if you keep a car jack nearby, you can lift the ear take out the ramp and then lower the rear AND THEN back out the car from the front ramp.
How beefy are the brackets? Is everything solid, no flex?
Seem to be normal as the oem ones. But how durable they may be? Idk yet but so far it’s been 2 years. No issues with them
When you corrected yourself as to which side is the front or the rear, how do you know? I literally have the same kit and it does not say anything.
左前=Left Front; 左中=Left Mid; 左后=Left Rear; 右前=Right Front; 右中=Right Mid; 右后=Right Rear. As for the running board, they are symmetrical and its orientation doesn't matter as long as you have your brackets correctly installed. I think OP just either misspoke or mis-correct himself. But I do think @7:34, he is verbally correct since it will be installed on the driver side (Left side) and the orientation of the board is correct at this second, until he flipped it over @7:57 after installing the brackets. Then you can see that the closest bracket is the longer one and therefore it is the front bracket.
Running boards?? Why?
Why not
Why? Because its a great addition to the vehicle; where you will see some vehicles like MB GLC/GLE or BMW X5, they have those installed as well. It is a great side step for you to wash the top of the car as well.
Does this help with debris from the road
@Noeljupiter don’t think so. I did it mainly for looks
How long did it take to install?
Professional= 1.5 hour. DIY = 2-3 hours. As long as you have the right tools: Jack/Lift, box cutter (to cut out 8 access holes), torque wrench, and 2 person. I just took my time and spaced out myself to 3 days and each day took 1 hour to do so without the use of a jack/lift. Day 1: Cutting the holes on the left side then go to work; Day 2: Cutting the holes on the right side then go to work; Day 3: Installing the running boards and adjust positions. Day 4: Wash, rinse, and ceramic coating.
Size of screws
Screws or bolts? I don’t remember anyway. But I want to say 15s?
