  • Your trailer coupling is an important safety component when towing, so its particularly important to keep them well maintained.
While we will be using the DO35 for our walk through many of these same maintenance checks apply across all trailer couplings.
We take a look at the simple maintenance checks you can do yourself each time you hook up through to the slightly more complicated yearly maintenance tasks.

When you checked the tow pln, the "O" ring is missing, but there was no comment about this.

Do you grease the pin or can you use a silicone spray as this keeps the unit clean.

My hitch jams on the pin and will not release .I can drive forward and back , but it still does not release . It is well maintained and lubricated . How do I get it to release ? Leaving the van attached to the vehicle is not always acceptable at some caravan sites .

Hi, I have a problem with my DO35 where it is creaking at the forward and back joint. Any suggestions on how I should deal with that as it doesn’t have a grease nipple on that joint? Chris
