This channel ACTUALLY got me playing chess again after years and years - I like the enthusiasm Anna brings to the game, its so authentic !!
lol That is the simp in you talking.
@@ToxicGamer86454 no simping, she truly loves the game, comes by it honestly, and I’m now playing chess and enjoying it….. even against the computer!!
I will agree Anna is very pretty, and if we were pretty young white women, we’d use that to its full marketing advantage in whatever CZcams business we had too.
It’s unfair and unfortunate, but whatever. Believe me, I don’t simp LOL.
simp
@@ToxicGamer86454 that's the misanthrope in you talking 😉
@@bobbybeast1000 you dont need to explain to a random lol. Anna has a lovely personality
“Got to play a little bit faster”. Has there ever been a match she did not say that 😊
That does seem to be her weakness is the clock. Very good chess player. Enjoy her videos.
That's muscle memory
@@zw3565 solution is to just play classical... but do you think she's a god in classical?
And better
She gets into time pressure even when she plays classical lol@@The_Real_Sensei
Anna has to be my favorite chess streamer
Better than Eric Rosen?
This is exactly the type of game that Alexandra is best at!
Which one? Botez is master?
When she loses, it always seems to be on time. Its definitely her weakness.
This was lost long before her timetrouble.
They are good at tactics and drop in queens
Time management and play in time trouble is arguably Alexandra Botez's biggest strength as well.
@@kjetilknyttnev3702Nah, she was spending way too long on simple decisions and was low on time for no reason
@@Ism0Lait3la I disagree. Positionally hopeless after about 12-13 moves. No activity, blocked files, horrible king position. She still had a minute by then. Her whole problem, as far as I see it in these games, is that she is playing too reactionary, and can't settle on one or two ideas or gameplans. It's the biggest reason why she won't get to a rating of 2400 and above. Her opening theory is ok, her endgame is ok, she is decent at calculation, but strategically it's lacking.
I love that the one of my "suggested shorts" next to this video is from Alex titled "I destroyed Anna Cramling!"
Loved your commentary.. "Don't call me a turtle, not right now..." Your streams are so entertaining
Chess & Techno. Gotta love this times.
Wow, what an exciting match against Alexandra Botez! I'm just a 6-year-old chess enthusiast, but I was on the edge of my seat watching this. Your strategic moves and quick thinking really showcased your skills. Even though it was a tough game, I loved how you managed the pressure, especially when you planned to break Alexandra's bishop pair and the tricky situation with your queen. It was a bit scary when you were running low on time, but you kept your cool. Can't wait to see your next game, and maybe I can learn some more great moves. Chess is awesome, and so are you!
I think the 90s "Blade" music adds a lot haha
Alex is like the Magnus to Anna's Hikaru
And you are like my nut sac
andrea is hans niemann
Seemed like Alex played to ruin the pawn structure and then Anna was hesitant to exchange pieces, so the Queen got chased into a corner.
Anna, I mean that you need strong pawns in the opening so you have confidence and can attack
I think it took her too long to see b4. It’s comforting that even super good players like Anna can miss things sometimes
What a great matchup!
ok cool music for once at 4:30 what u got playin' there?
Regardless of the result, I’m sure that you enjoyed the challenge. Good game. Better next time 😉
Alas, had to turn the sound off on this video to protect myself from that horrendous background cacophony!
Alex is pretty good these days...she is the best of the Botez sisters for sure.
That's not such a large candidate pool 😀
Andrea would kick her butt at chess-boxing though!
I would get lost on a desert island with both
In the English language we use the word “better” when comparing two things.
Does Alex have a stream of this from her end?
You are both such good players!
Wondering why she didn't kick the bishop with pawn push early?! Or with knight attack
Your an amazing player, never doubt yourself! You’ll win next time
absolutely loving !
Far be it for me to question a 2200, but when Botez played pawn to b4, could a Bxb4 work?
GG Alex, that was a cool game haha
I enjoy this channel much more than the other one.
My daily affirmation at work = "What is the worst thing that can happen?" In machining and in chess, sometimes you just have to send it.
Exciting match. Gracias a las dos
I'm so bummed at this result but it was fun to watch! I've given up trying to follow what you're doing and why. haha Maybe you could do a video analysis of a game and describe what you're doing in response to what your opponent is playing, and what you think your opponent is thinking or might be thinking for their next move, etc. An instructional video! haha That's the ticket! 🙂 Just a thought from a huge fan and terrible player. hehehe
same same same!
I love Alex because I met you through her, so I'm not sad that you lost this one.
where is the link to the mirror video?
Streaming and being kind in a bullet is impossible
That was tough. Good playing anyway, though.
Anna has to be my favorite chess screamer! 😇
Wat happened with the bishop black at 1:05? It looks like she took her own bishop with a pawn, and I didn't see where it went. What kind of move is that? Was it taken by the white knight, does this mean the software lets you do your moves ahead of time?
Yes, you can set up conditional responses ahead of time
You need lessons from Eric Rosen on blitzing those moves at the end - I haven't seen anyone play as fast as him when down to 3 seconds and he wins quite often at that stage!
I mean, Eric Rosen almost adopted the botez sisters both in a video, only the final game was drawn. Alex is probably a bit better than Anna, so that's not quite the fair comparison. It's as saying "Magnus can win games with 5 min vs. 30 sec", get lessons from him :D
You are such a joy to watch. Win, lose or draw, you have a happy disposition.
I like her facial expressions, especially around 4:40
Chess newbie here…why does it seem like small amounts of time are added to their clock at times?
really tesnse game, now I am gonna watch alex pov
Anna allowed Alex to play aggressively early in the game which led to some questionable piece exchanges and duplicating moves. That allowed Alex to take out Anna's defense.
It's ok Anna, you'll get her next time!
Whats the name of the first song?
Love to watch your channel. Hate the music loop, though. Feels like I'm losing brain cells.
That h file is the whole problem, you had to play to safe which takes to much time.
It’s the music for me 🔥🙌🏿✌🏿
playlist?
She's thinking like she's playing classical lol
Man, it feels like she loses on time more than actually being beaten.
one thing I've noticed in some of your losses: you are behind on time. talk when its their turn and don't worry about us viewing. we would rather see u win :)
What am I missing here at 0:56 - 0:57? Is this game using different rules?
Edit: Nevermind, I didn't notice and understand the concept of pre-move at the time.
Your comment confused me. What are you seeing that makes you ask? I'm seeing Nxg6 Pxg6
@@thomasmount7388 I saw it too, it looked like she took her own bishop with the pawn. The only thing I can figure is that the white knight took the bishop, and she took the white knight. I deduced it by the fact that both the white knight and bishop disappeared in one move. Is there a feature that let her move her pawn prior to the other person making their move or something?
nice tunes to play chess too!
I have now watched at least a dozen of Anna Cramling chess videos. She never seems to play like a chess master. I haven't been in a sanctioned chess tournament since the 1980's (Does the USCF still exist?), thus by the standards familiar to me, Anna ought to be a Class B player, about a 1750. Anna makes me ruminate her games when she doesn't take control of lines or challenge her opponent's control when I think she should.
Alexandra Botez does give me the sensation that she is a chess master.
Today's ratings seem different. I see really big numbers up near 3000. Bobby Fischer was rated 2780 in his prime. But I also see amateurs rated only 600 or even 500. In 1980, almost nobody was below 900. If a lot of today's casual players are getting official ratings, I suppose that is good for the popularity of the game.
I think I am currently about a 1500 player. This means I probably can't beat Anna Cramling head-to-head. But I can't see her strangling me the way that senior master Kim Commons did in a 1975 simultaneous exhibition. Anna would have to work to beat me. On the other hand, Alexandra Botez could wipe me out the way that Mr. Commons did.
[In 1980, there were very few women in tournament chess in America, much less gorgeous ones. Anna and Alexandra are the stuff of male fantasies.]
Time killer
Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly happened at 0:55? It looked like Anna took one of her own bishops.
The knight eat the bishop, he did a premove
I would have definitely blundered that Queen. 😂
I really like the background music, Anna !!! It makes watching the game even more exciting !!!!!!!!!
i was just about to say the music is so annoying
Great game .
Would love to see you and Alex in a short Rapid match, maybe 15min Game,
something where its more about your skills, and less about the clock.
Time management is part of the game and related to skill.
Being good at one time mode does not directly equate to being good at them all, however.
@@GabrielMercader Well we'll just disagree there Chess is ultimately about Calculation, which takes time, the shorter time control the lower the Quality of the play. My personal hero Viktor K. was always in time trouble even on Classical Controls, he was also the 2nd best player in the world for like 10 years.
@@trlavalley9909I agree
Knowing Anna, she'd still have time management issues no matter how long the game is!!
@@scottspeig If that is the case, I haven't watched enough games to know for sure, then it is a narcissism personality trait. We have have this trait, it is a question of recognizing it and changing. Consistently being late or slow, especially for smart people, is a sign you are trying to draw attention to yourself. It is a tactic for people to bend to you. This may be helpful at times in chess but not if it gets you in time trouble consistently. Use when an opponent has made a bad move to let them stew in it, or maybe after a loss of a piece. Otherwise trust yourself and keep moving as a plan.
For anyone new here there is zero nudity or “girl on girl action”
just loooooove anna 🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍
especially when she concentrates intensify
Why the heck can't I see the actual moves happening at :56? It looks like something weird is going on.
I got married and had three children in the time it took Anna to move.
Her time management skills prevent her from getting to 2300
Would love to watch, but the music is driving me nuts.
Im a romanian and I still place my bets on you Anna
you should have one of your parents secretly play as you against her
u should always take that bishop on d3 better exchange for it rather than the knight that took on g6 ...
3:13, was the knight on d7 hanging? What am I missing?
@@LtwtMyles Oh yeah! I'm real dumb. Thanks!
lol Anna, don't panic so much! 😂
This is the turtle comment section, lol.
Nice match and nice Techno!
Saludos desde Barcelona.
first time hearing someone saying "botez" as "bodez"
Anybody knows what DJ set she was listening to?
Don't want to know
I name this game: "Queen in the corner pocket"
Get 'er !! You're a tiger !! (grr, grrr !)
- [ almost inaudibly, like a small kitten ]
You forgot to add to the title of the video, "I got paired against Alexandra Botez in a Chess Tournament and got whooped." You were such a turtle. Laughing!
1:31 Qd5 instead of d6. Opens up lots attacking opportunities. Qd6 is weak.
Why not D5E4 and B5B5 instead - isnÄt that material loss of 2? Seems like a big blunder
Cow opening asainst Botez Gambit Classic variation?
Chess daht cahm has the character bots for Anna and Alex both at 2100. They aren’t gonna give anyone a leg up in this rivalry 😂😂😂
Anyone got the track id at 4:10?
i believe its Aleph One - Gum Arabic
Who won?
But only 2 mistakes and 1 blunder for how freaking fast they were playing? I'm rated like 400 and have like 10 blunders and no time limits, lmao. This was fun.
Right I'm only 800 and I'm the same.
Bishop a5 was your demise.
Why botez didnt play Na4 after you played c5
Though we couldn't see it Alex was probably wearing that "goofy" hat...
I love her energy so much and she's really good, but she just chills too much in the beginning. It's so painful to watch, she has to understand that time per move is a very valuable metric to improve, for her it's her biggest weakness
TEAM BOTEZ. Thank you, come again.
What is happening at 0:55 - black pawn takes black bishop? How? Why? 🤔
the white knight took the black bishop and the black pawn took the white knight
My sympathies
7:49 that would be me on the first move 😵💫
Why does Alex's flag show USA? I thought she was Canadian. Could be wrong
Casi hacías Dc7?? XD, e hiciste la misma cara que yo 😮
She was probably watching your stream while playing you!
nice game. the monotonous sound is annoying though.
at 2:50, why not Bxd7 for white? If Nxd7, then Nxd5 is winning for white. This highlights why c5 was not good. A big miss for Botez.
beautiful & brilliant vs. gorgeous & smart - but who is who?
prediction - alex hangs her queen but anna still finds a way to lose on time
Anna is truly a fighting girl! Like IT ;)
You're both heroes for me. But it would have been better without that computer generated "music".
yikes, what an ignorant comment. "your music taste is different than mine. therefore, it's not music & it's not even human."
