Jak zwykle świetny film i moja ulubiona grupa perfum więc oglądnąłem z ogromnym zaciekawieniem. Większość z nich znam i zgadzam się w 100%. U mnie dzisiaj również drzewnie w postaci Halfeti Cedar :)
Hej, dzięki za obejrzenie. Znam tylko wersję podstawową Halfeti, ale do końca mi podszedł. Czym różni się od Halfeti Cedar?
@@pixieandthenotes Cedar mniej złożony moim zdaniem i na mnie niestety trochę "deserowy". Te drewienka są znacznie bardziej balsamiczno-jadalne i nie zmieniają się jakoś szczególnie w czasie. Chociaż pojawia się też akcent suszonych owoców i delikatna rumowa nuta. O wiele bardziej przypadł mi do gustu podstawowy.
Love your description of Woman Ormonde Jayne. It’s such a beautiful classic scent! When it comes to wood scents, I think I’m a very sandalwood gal. Commodity Milk, BDK Gris Charnel, This is her, Molecules 01 + Iris, Glossier You and Cocoa Wood by Nest are a few favorites…

Musky woody notes, for days I’m just kicking around: Kaleidoscope Bath & Body Works & Rogue by Rihanna
Deep, drier woody notes for days I’m feeling contemplative… SJP’s Stash & Dior Homme Intense
Oh, great new categories!! Splendid! I used to own Rogue and loved it, but for me it was a fruity leather, never thougt of it as of woody fragrance...I should sniff it again with that in mind. Indeed, Sash is a very good example of a well executed dry woods...sadly discontinued. Thank you so much for watching and taking your time to share your recommendations. I really appreciate.

I have been wanting to try it for too long!! I have to find a sample, becase it sounds totally like something I would love.
I recently added Ormonde Woman to my collection and you described it so well- it does smell like a forest alongside a windy seaside beach. I live in Northern California on the coast where there are Redwood forests and Black hemlock grows- which is a note in Ormonde Woman. It’s a beautiful perfume.
I hadn’t really been cognizant of it until watching your video, but when I consider my most recent purchases I guess my fragrance mood of late has been towards woody scents.
Ormonde Jayne’s Tsarina Intensivo is another recent acquisition I’ve made that is an opulent, powdery Floral Woody perfume, and I just picked up Starlight (Xerjoff) a warm, spicy woody scent and Overture Woman (Amouage), that has a beautiful woody accord- it smells like spicy apple brandy that has been aged in a resinous, wooden barrel.
Other woody loves of mine are
Gris Charnel (BDK)
Santal Blush (Tom Ford)
Tempo (Diptyque)
Iris Prima (Penhaligons)
And
1000 (Jean Patou)
I would repurchase all of these - not a regret in the bunch.
Thank you so much for so many beautiful recommendations. I was on the fence about putting Tempo in this lis, but decided not to because it's mainly patchouli for me. Iris Prima is gorgeous, but yet again it's an iris scent. I wanted this lis to revolve stroctly about the woody component. But I must say I am efnitely intrigued by Ormknde Jane as a brand. I don't know other scents frm then, unfortunately. Thank you again for watching and sharing your thoughts.
Nice recommendations. I love Molecule 01. Egoiste is chanel's finest from their standard line, IMO. Santal Majuscule is one of the best linear scents that money can buy. Royal Oud is undoubtedly Creed's best, so elegant & classy.

@@pixieandthenotes oh, it was huge! As for me, hard to pick a favorite but I am in love with Acqua di Parma Ginepro di Sardegna-it smells exactly like the wild brush growing on the California coast.

Molecules are like catnip for me..hahahah Actually He Wood Rocky Mountains was my Holy Grail woody fragrance. I still can't get over the fact that it has been discontinued, what a shame! Thank you for watching, as always.
@@pixieandthenotes I still have about 90% left in my Rocky Mountain Wood bottle. 😜 If I lived in Europe I'd happily make you a 20 mL decant. Shipping perfume overseas is always dicey. 😖

@@pixieandthenotes Not the biggest, but it's still a wonderfully cool, misty and damp cedar-vetiver. Reminiscent of untreated furniture left out in the rain. But violet always has that semi-aquatic vibe. Plus I enjoy He Wood Cologne a lot more. 😁Now THAT was a limited release. My 150 mL bottle is down a good 50%.

I only know the Goutal taht you mentioned, but for me it's a gourmad sueude, like a delicious verison of Bottega Veneta. Thank you for all the recommendations, I will put them on my "to try list".
You sort of remind me of Tabatha Coffey. Not by your looks, but by your style of talking and regal stature. But the similarities with your silhouette and haircut as well. 😃
I will have to look her up, because I am not familiar with her. But I always find it very interesting to see to whom people compare me, because it kinda gives me a chance to see how I come accross, instead of how I woul like to come accross.
My favorites are Feminite du Bois and Santal Majuscule from Serge Lutens, Ormonde Woman, Tam Dao Diptyque (prefer edt). Woody Mood from Olfactive Studio is magical. Lately I discovered Cedrus from Chloe, subtle woody fragrance.
Almost forgot Enchanted Forest The Vagabond Prince, aromatic-fruity woodiness beauty.
Oh, a lot of our fragrances overlap. When it comes to Woody Mood, I tried it a few times...but there is something in the drydown that really annoys me. No idea what that is. Enchanted Forest also wasn't my thing, but to be fair i tried it only twice very long time ago, so maybe if I revistied it, it would be much better.
I love Maison Louis Marie #4 Bois de Balincourt. I have the perfume oil but it also comes as a spray parfum now. I have the body oil too, I just love the scent. Have you smelt that one?

I just watched your Holy Grail from a year ago. Have you found yourself a HG iris yet? I hope you will try Iris Malikhân. Also, I wish your HG vanilla was still available.
Hi, I don't think I could name my holy grail iris yet. I tried Iri Malighan, I really liked it, but it didn't wow me enough to get a bottle. Oh I wish Guerlin relesed Millesime Vanilla into a regular line.
Silky Woods is great, but I there is something in the elixir version that it is even better for me. If you like more feminine or girly perfumes you may not like it though.
I am not into very girly nor super feminine scents. I will attempt to find and give it a sniff. Thanks.
