  • With my region being in a lockdown and parts arrivals coming slowly for everyone I’m stuck in a holding pattern. I also say “obviously” 800 times this video. Give me some other ideas of things you would like to see.

    I think a suspension specs (coil overs, arms, alignment etc) episode would be cool

      Thats a really good suggestion. I was planning on doing something like that once all of my 2021 parts are here but I might have to do it a bit earlier than planned.

    I've had my 350z for only 3 mos and enjoyed tracking it while doing incremental upgrades. still focusing on bushings and suspension. I'm doing a mix of SPL and urethane bushings and Tein shocks/springs. this is incredibly fun because you can see the track improvements after every upgrade and feel it in the seat of your pants.

    I heard the lockdowns are really tough and unfair on small business. Can't wait for a return to normal up north.

    Hi, just found your channel. In your "how to build a 350z track car" video you mentioned your 10.5 wide +15 square setup. Do you have rubbing issues with any width tires on those?

      No, not at all. My fenders are rolled a little just to make sure.

  • @MatthewAlenius

    question: what benefits are you looking to get by going back to the stock sway bar?

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety +3

      The rear end of the 350Z is light and I like having a rear end that has a lot of grip so I can put the power down. I used to run a lot of rear wing to make sure I could do this. Of course this made drag and slowed the car down in a straight line. By swapping in the softer rear bar I’ll increase the grip at the rear. I can take some wing out and get the best of both worlds.

    • @MatthewAlenius

    Thicker front sway bars will increase the front grip or it will start to understeer ?

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety

      A stiffer front bar increases understeer by reducing front suspension compliance relative to the rear. A softer front bar increases oversteer by increasing front suspension compliance relative to the rear.
      A stiffer rear bar increases oversteer by reducing rear suspension compliance relative to the front. A softer rear bar increases understeer by increasing rear suspension compliance relative to the front.
      Basically whatever end is softer is going to squish into the pavement more and give more grip.

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety

      In short stiffer front bar = more understeer

    Hey Michael, any reasons that at this point you are sticking with the 350Z instead of moving on a Corvette C5/C6 for example ? Is it sentimental or is there any other reasons ? It took me moving from Europe to the US to sell my HR track prepped, but now I don't regret it ....Recent Corvette/Camaro are so much faster that I'm wondering why you stick with the Z ? Is it because you are so commited with your current build that reaching higher performance would require too much investments vs resale value of the Z ? Just curious ;) Still love the Z.

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety

      Just sentimental, fun, and I like it. I’ll add another car when the time is right but I’ll never sell the Z which was my first car all the way back in 2004.

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety

      The coilovers are JRZ RS Pro and I don't plan on changing those. I plan on making a rear sway bar change back to the softer OEM bar and replacing some of the arms and bushings with spherical SPL units. Thanks!

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety

      @@fayth25567 definitely a smart plan. The OEM exhaust weighs over 62 lbs if I remember right and it’s basically a single with a dual exit anyways. A larger lightweight single will help.
