  • Some attempts, and variations on build, to showcase the different approaches.
    This build was missing:
    Lucia Earth gear
    Sawed-off Shotgun
    Ivy Collar
    Therefore I had to compensate with what was available.
    Earth gear was replaced with either Atk purple gear, or the new Summer gear.
    ATK gear offers higher numbers.
    Summer gear allows for a buff extension and better HP/damage mitigation, thus 1 less debuff from Lucia and the second debuff lasting longer.
    Of the two, I prefer the Summer gear, at least for my build.
    Best stats overall are gained with Ivy Collar on Lucia, or Sawed-off Shotgun on Vincent, thus Crystal Megaphone on Lucia.. but both were ob2, so I went with two approaches:
    Jiggy Fam + Powersoul
    Sun Umbrella + Wizer Rod
    Second configuration offers higher stats.
    Lastly, the order of limits. We tried many different approaches, limits together, limits during sigil for extra damage, only 2 limits, etc... due to Mock battles being different from real ones, we ended up using Vincent only limit, and have Bahamut on Lucia so it never gets charged and Shiva/Leviathan on Matt in case we manage to land last (doable, but it requires precision and no lag).
    Preferably, the plan was to use Vincent normal attacks, as his damage output would be higher than any limit, so his limit was done after Grand Sword (we don't break sigil so that the debuff remains throughout the fight), when he was on low health to gain Haste, and the reason we did not fire the rest of the limits was to not waste animation time. At the same time, we wanted the Vincent limit to charge first in such a way that when we would issue it, there will be no wait to press the other limits.
    Lastly: Matt. Matt has two builds here:
    Centipede + Syringe Rapier
    Syringe Rapier + Stingray
    Syringe + Stingray has higher potential, especially with Lucia's Earth gear, as thus Lucia only does Earth attacks so more damage, plus Matt can debuff one last time after Vincent limit so more damage overall.
    The issue is, for this to work, 1) it needs more precision and lag can punish 2) it uses 1 less stream weapon on Matt, so less damage on Limit. Depending on the account, internet connection and precision to execute, either can work.
    A maxed out account can do 36-38% safely, probably over 40% if Highwind and Materia are highly optimised.
    An account like mine, with 2-3 sub-optimal choices can do 30-35%.
    I chose the 33-34% "safe" Centipede approach than the more swingy Stingray, since there is no do-over.
    I hope this helps understanding the plan. I could not post those attempts sooner as it would be unsporting for my teammates to do so, since this is a guild attempt and not a solo one. I hope everyone understands the decision to have those posted by the end of the event.
    All in all, I really enjoyed this event, and I hope they polish some things before the next one (I stronly feel bosses tied together to respawn is very good when people are living in the same timezone, but with global, this is very difficult to micromanage, and I didn't sleep for more than 4 hours a day to achieve being online more than 12 hours daily to coordinate).
    I want to thank all of my teammates that reached us there. It was a collective effort and I am glad we worked together on it. I hope I did my part.
