Either way, pretty annoying in the sense that I pray he doesn't take the Steve -O route and just become a complete ad wh0re and ruin his show. Steve -O literally interrupts the conversation every 5 to 10 mins for some unnecessary, money hungry b.s. ad, I've come to despise him for his greed and no longer listen even if he has an interesting guest, not to mention, his sober blah blah blah is boring AF and, he tends to platform right wing psychos... If David Cross lets me down in this way, I'm going full hermit..
@@ArnieJames666 they’re entertaining enough that I don’t mind, but yeah, so many ad reads are like a rollercoaster grinding to a halt, halfway down a big exciting hill, for you to wait for some asshole in shitty clown makeup to climb up and shoot you in the face with a really weak stream of lukewarm water
@@ArnieJames666 If you mainly use youtube in browser form, the sponsorblock extension is a life saver. It relies on users to create the sections to skip, but pods like this and steve-o's usually have someone make sections to skip right away. If youre on mobile you need youtube vanced.
Shane seemed to fanboy about David's standup, but seemed to not know about Mr. Show...? He was like "I thought you were in SNL!" And then David mentioned how a documentary would "start as one thing like 'How to Buy a Mattress' and then the subject would switch without the audience being fully aware of it" and THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT MR. SHOW DID.

Yet another amazing episode! The stories you guys share are so much fun! It baffles me the way Jeanene is so progressively-minded and has been ever since she was young. It really touched my heart to see the way she truly cares about animals...that was a sweet mention without making it about some protest. I miss when people could just talk about things by speaking their mind, getting pushback or disagreement and then going in with whatever's more important at hand or just on with life in general. 😊
Review is actually originally an Aussie show - and the original is even better! I love both, but I definitely think I enjoy the original more, even having seen the one with Andy Daily first. They are both ridiculously funny.

anybody else cackle at the hard cut at 26:30 to David, with the different mic, reading the copy for the ad? I feel like y'all get why I think it's funny. Tofutti breaks... Be Nice, Serve the First Slice... It's just weird because it's David, and you know his backstory and what he believes in, etc. I guess it reminds me that we're all playing this dumb game together, even our heroes. I mean, this the new way people do things. I buy the schwarzenegger's protein bars with David's promo codes and I'm not even a fan of the way they taste (let alone their protein bars).
Get some of that boner gum with David's promo. Once you get hard, just remember where some of the proceeds are going. Cool right? Hell yea it is! Hell, blow a load on the Mr. Show Box Set. Maybe dress up differently for each season.
Anyways. I would like to see Jay Johnston or Dino on. Love watching writers sling wit. Pretty sure the show will be fine even if we don't provide guests here in the comments, but let's keep doing it for sure.

As much as it bores the fuck out of me when he talks about his kid, and it's become worse over time, I think this podcast is awesome, so you can always just skip forward or stop watching - it's disappointing to be disappointed, we all get that, but like, I am sure he doesn't care what you think 🤷♂️
