P-Split is a nifty little unit that is essential for splitting and balancing electric & acoustic guitar signals, as well as re-amping. Listen in to find out how.

I wish Lehle would do in depth videos on this box. I recently got one, and it is probably one of the most useful tools in my rig now.

Very helpful video! Thanks for the detailed re-amping explanation!

Thanks for the video, i have 2 questions... How long can be the length of the cables to work this box without ground and noise issues? 3 meter(each) cables would be fine? 5 meter(each)? Second, i'm comfused a little for the re amping situation... The input of the box is instrument unbalanced hi impedance signal, the 2 outputs must be the same (instrument unbalanced hi impedance signal) to go to 2 amps.... So ,to do reamping the ISO output must be line-level balanced signal to convert it to instrument unbalanced hi impedance signal...... Am i somewhere wrong here? Is it possible to reverse the signal path of a device? the output is output and the input is input.... I will buy this spliter in the next weeks although as a good spliter..

Hi! I want to split the signal of my active bass (one signal to the bass amp and the other to the interface’s HiZ 1/4 input). Could use this pedal to do it?

Is both outputs basically the same signal? I ask because I want to send one line to my backline and one life to a separate preamp that leads it to a DI, but I want both levels to be the same.
    Thanks in advance

Plugged it in just prior to my amp switching box and got rid of hum on all my amps --- wow! Great piece of gear, needs no power. Set the two push buttons to what works for your set up and your done. I checked this out when I saw a pro using it, have not heard it hyped anywhere. If you have any hum on your expensive amps this will probably silence it.

Can i make a setup where i can switch between a bass amp and guitar amp? I don't really need to play them both at the same time but have the guitar as main sound where i could fill in with a bass amp with maybe an ocatver pedal? What do you suggest?

Guys, pardon me if this is a stupid question:
But do i have to drill holes into my pedal board to mount it ?
It seems the 4 black screws on the top wont allow for velcro on the top. And the 4 raised feet under the P Split also dont allow velcro on the bottom
    Please advise.
    Thank you! : )

I had removed the rubber feets and put velcro on it.

Dual lock reaches deeper than velcro and it’s just plain better

Can this be used for a wet/dry setup?

If one amp is out of phase with the other amp, this is the tool (assumed that all your pedals are in phase with each other).
Also, if you use two amps (that are in phase) with dedicated pedals - one pedal can be out of phase with another pedal to the other amp. The Lehle can fix this. The Lehle can be the first pedal that splitts the signal to two chains of pedals to two amps. If one pedal is out of phase with another pedal in a wet/dry - wet/wet - dry/dry setup, you need one more Lehle to reverse the phase correctly (after the pedal that is out of phase).
In my opinion, it is better to have a buffer-splitter first - to two chains of pedals to two amps (assumed that the amps are in phase to start with), and use the Lehle to correct the phase if a pedal is out of phase with another pedal. With the buffer first, one can use long cables with no signal loss, too. This raises the question that there is a marked for a dedicated box that does only one thing, and that is to reverse phase to a pedal (with the rising popularity of using wet/dry rigs in mind).
The Lehle transformer inside the box reviewed here, is the only transformer currently available made to work with a weak hi impedance guitar signal and sound natural too. The reviewers did not mention this. Fine little transformer Lehle makes, indeed.
