  • Agni Parthene (Greek: Ἁγνὴ Παρθένε), (English: "O Virgin Pure" or "O Pure Virgin"), is a Greek Marian hymn composed by St. Nectarios of Aegina in the late 19th century, first published in print in his Theotokarion (Θεοτοκάριον, ἤτοι προσευχητάριον μικρόν) in 1905. Here sung by Divna Ljubojević.
In Orthodox churches, it is considered paraliturgical, and therefore only to be used outside of liturgical services. Though it is often performed by some choirs as a recessional after the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy during the veneration of the cross and receiving of antidoron.

    English Translation:
    O Virgin Pure
    by St. Nectarios
    Plagal First Tone (Tone 5)
    Refrain: Rejoice, O Bride Unwedded!
    O Virgin pure, immaculate/ O Lady Theotokos
O Virgin Mother, Queen of all/ and fleece which is all dewy
More radiant than the rays of sun/ and higher than the heavens
Delight of virgin choruses/ superior to Angels.
Much brighter than the firmament/ and purer than the sun's light
More holy than the multitude/ of all the heav'nly armies.
    Rejoice, O Bride Unwedded!
O Ever Virgin Mary/ of all the world, the Lady
O bride all pure, immaculate/ O Lady Panagia
O Mary bride and Queen of all/ our cause of jubilation
Majestic maiden, Queen of all/ O our most holy Mother
More hon'rable than Cherubim/ beyond compare more glorious
than immaterial Seraphim/ and greater than angelic thrones.
    Rejoice, O Bride Unwedded!
Rejoice, O song of Cherubim/ Rejoice, O hymn of angels
Rejoice, O ode of Seraphim/ the joy of the archangels
Rejoice, O peace and happiness/ the harbor of salvation
O sacred chamber of the Word/ flow'r of incorruption
Rejoice, delightful paradise/ of blessed life eternal
Rejoice, O wood and tree of life/ the fount of immortality.
    Rejoice, O Bride Unwedded!
I supplicate you, Lady/ now do I call upon you
And I beseech you, Queen of all/ I beg of you your favor
Majestic maiden, spotless one/ O Lady Panagia
I call upon you fervently/ O sacred, hallowed temple
Assist me and deliver me/ protect me from the enemy
And make me an inheritor/ of blessed life eternal.
    Rejoice, O Bride Unwedded!

Ask all the religious Muslims Jewish protestant catholics and all Christian faith ONLY ONE IS THE TRUE CHURCH OF GOD AND ALL THE OTHER ARE HERETICS
When one Greek or eny orthodox priest dies HIS BODY STAYS FLEXIBLE his body is like sleeping and this FOR ALL ,ALLL,ALLL ,of them This is something that you can see with your own eyes
ORTHODOX IS THE ONE HOLLY CATHOLIC APOSTOLIC CHURCH ALL THE OTHER'S ARE FROM FALSE TEACHERS (CATHOLIC IS A GREEK WORD MEANS TOTALLY APOSTOLIC TEACHING NOT UNIVERSAL IN THE FAITH CREED( ΚΑΤΑ -ΟΛΛΑ)
ΑND EVERY OTHER ONE ARE HERETICS
HERETIC PERSON YOU CAN ADVISE ONE OR TWO TIMES NOT 3RD TIME LET HIM GO TO HELL

Amen. I am not worthy to receive Thee but Thou art the same Lord whose nature it is always to have mercy.
Into Thy hands I commit my spirit
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was then, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Thanks be to God. Amen

Both singers are defintely loved by Holy Mary. God bless all orthodox people, and all people. But in these apocalyptic times we need stand united, not divided. Greetings from Bucharest, Romania. I am orthodox christian. All the best 😇🙏🎄

      Yea
Lets pray for the conversion of all protestants...if they dont repent by renouncing their heresies and shocking blasphemies, they will go hell
      Luther was a retard
He got a good Mother yet he chose to deny his mother and be an orphan
So does all protestants who subscribe to his dumb errors

As a member of the Church of England I must say we do recognise her, not sure about other Protestant Churches. I must say our Church of England is like 80% catholic as we keep many of the same traditions as there was only disputes between kings and the pope the people stayed Christian

they refuse to recognize the unnecessary devotion to Mary which we as Catholics and Orthodox do.
Mary should be praised but not as Jesus.
