- Yamaha MODX Montage Analog Style Melodic Techno Trance House Melodies are demonstrating the power of this sample and fm based synth.
This performance is made from multisamples of various synthesizers including the Access Virus TI2 and Sequential Prophet REV2. Samples were created using the Autosampler function on the Akai Force. The arpeggios were also created in the Akai Force which sent the midi to the MODX Sequencer to record them. From the sequencer User Arps were then created.
In yamaha terms the oscillators are called elements or in short elem. Per part you can have 8 elements with its own filter, lfo and other modulation sources. In total you can have 16 parts with a total polyphony of 128 notes for the sample engine and 64 notes for the FMX engine.

Well played and awesome sounds, Joris!
Thanks a lot Sonny! Love this machine as I’m now rediscovering it 😄
Damn... that Kicks!!!
Thx!! It’s amazing fun to multisample my synths like the access virus and prophet. Character is still there but different in the modx
👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks!!
Awesome sounds! All created by yourself? I own an CS2x and recently bought a Modx6+. I know how to deal with the awm engine, but fmx… the smart morph made me buy it. I’m not 100% convinced yet
Yeah I’ve made them myself by using multisampling handmade patches on the Access Virus. Every 6 notes were sampled and then I made the custom arpeggios on the Akai Force. Those were “played” into the modx using midi and recorded and converted. After that I’ve applied the modx effects which are great. Lots of steps but definitely worth it. I’m thinking of releasing a bank with sounds of the virus and prophet rev2 for modx and montage. But as said, takes a lot of time 😁
@@Expectaz thanks for the info :) I have an Akai Force too and I multi sample VSTs with it :) The Force is so powerful. I use it as a singer/songwriter scrapbook. You should definitely make master classes on Force live performances! But, you’re right, that and building soundbanks takes so much time! Thanks for sharing!
Will definitely look into masterclasses on the Force! If you’re into auto sampling with the force the John melas software is great to convert the samples into the modx
@@Expectaz I bought his software last week :) but still have to use it! Thanks a lot 🙂
@weddy5700 It also took me a year before I started to dive in 😁
Nice, but one note was strange...
Totally true! Sharp ear 👂🤣
Hi. Is it possible to download this somewhere, buy it on modx? Greetings
Hi! I’m going to create an expansion pack of multiple single and multi performances. It will be showcased here and on impulsationsounds.com
