- Jan Pieterszoon SWEELINCK (1562 -1621) was in zijn tijd de onbetwiste meester van het orgel.
De variatietechnieken van J.P Sweelinck waren beroemd en studenten kwamen van over de hele wereld om van Sweelinck de kunst te leren om allerlei variaties op een melodie te maken.
Deze variaties op de melodie van 'ONDER EEN LINDE GROEN' zijn typerend voor de stijl en virtuositeit die Sweelinck in zijn variaties gebruikte.
ORGEL
Het Radeker-Garrels-orgel werd in 1717 door de familie Ellents aan de kerk geschonken.
Johannes Radeker (ca.1675-1771 en Rudolf Garrels (1675-1750) zijn meesterknechten van Arp Schnitger.
RADEKER werkte in de werkplaats van Schnitger in Hamburg en vanaf 1696 werkte Radeker voor Schnitger in Groningen en Friesland.

GARRELS was een leerling van orgelbouwer Arp Schnitger, werkte mogelijk in zijn atelier in Hamburg en hielp mee aan de bouw van het eerste Schnitger-orgel van de Der Aa-kerk in Groningen, dat in 1697 werd voltooid en pas dertien jaar bestaat.
In 1713 vestigde Garrels zich in Groningen (in de Gelkingerstraat?).
Tijdens de orgelbouw leerde hij ook Schitgers meesterknecht Johannes Radeker kennen.

RESTAURATIE
In de jaren negentig restaureerde Henk van Eeken dit orgel naar de situatie van 1718.
Henk van Eeken voegde een zelfstandig pedaal met vier stemmen toe aan het instrument in een aparte kast achter het orgel.
Tijdens de restauratiewerkzaamheden brak in 1995 brand uit in het atelier van Henk van Eeken.
De verbrande delen van het orgel zijn gereconstrueerd.
De nieuwe orgelpijpen werden gemaakt volgens de oorspronkelijke methode uit 1717.
Het orgelmetaal is op een zandbed gegoten, waarna de platen met de hand werden geschaafd om de juiste dikte te verkrijgen.

Het orgel staat achter in het kerkgebouw, boven de ingang.
De speeltafel bevindt zich aan de voorzijde van het orgel.

RESTORATION
In the nineties, Henk van Eeken restored this organ based on the situation of 1718.
Henk van Eeken added an independent pedal with four stops to the instrument in a separate case behind the organ.
A fire broke out in the storage depot of Henk van Eeken in 1995 during the restoration work.
The burnt parts of the organ have been reconstructed.
Rediscovered knowledge and skills were used by Van Eeken in the restoration of the Anlooër organ.
The new organ pipes were made according to the original method from 1717.
The organ metal was poured onto a sand bed, after which the plates were shaved by hand to obtain the correct thickness.
The organ stands in the back of the church building, above the entrance.
The console is at the front of the organ.
