I love all of this. Dusty, Kenny Lynch, oh just all of it. Wish I was young again. I still am in my mind. The morning bathroom mirror is a shock though lol.
I know! Isn’t it dreadful. Fifteen in your mind and then your Mum stares back at you from the mirror. 😂
you need to still use the bathroom.....BUT REMOVE THE MIRROR LOL
❤👍🏿😁👍🏿
Loved watching this Dusty was ahead of her time great singer
What I loved about the audiences in those days , not many had a sense of rhythm but had fun regardless.
This was when music was good music.the 60s had the best music bar none .Whether it was the boys across the pond or over here the usa or canada.was all good.weather it was the beatles,dc5,byrds,the jefferson airplane it was awesome.well never see those days never again!😢😢😢😢
what a fantastic artist Dusty was.
The best, Dusty was out of the top drawer
Saturday evening 1963 aged 8 I was there clued to our black and white tv .. I had forgotten how great the entertainment and music was ... nothing compares to the power of the generation that was Pluto in Taurus that generation born 1937 to 1957 the Boomers ... sadly now leaving the planet certainly left their mark on music
There is a fantastic new book about the show that is one of the best music/pop history books I've ever come across. It details EVERY episode!
Sounds great.......what is it called...is it available online ????
Fun dancing and hairdo's like cakes! Can't beat that...
RSG was an absolutely fantastic show.
Great to see Kenny Lynch
I was only 3 durning these episodes, so too young to appreciate tge swinging 60's. The crowd was so young, and the girls gorgeous!
What happened 60 years later? Our innocence lost😢
Kenny Lynch, what an intro to that track ,top drawer ...Patrick Kerr and Teresa Confrey dancing just brilliant !
ME TOO .I REMEMBER ALL THESE SHOWS AND HOW GOOD THE MUSIC WAS..WHAT A SHAME HOW ARE COUNTRY WENT TO HELL
1964 the month of March when I got married to my lovely wife and can remember dancing to the hitchhiker at our reception. After all these years and watching it on here it brings it all back. Such a long time ago.
I was born in February 1964, & love the music of this time. ☺
Ab appropriate dance to get "hitched" to!
@@missasinenomineVery Very good!
Are you kidding me? I just heard that Ricky Nelson song on the radio 2 days ago. I had never heard it before. And now I've heard it twice in 2 days. Crazy weird stuff happens in our world.
The song is Fools Rush In and a very good dance tune. Rick was huge in the States and England.
Miss Springfield looks fabulous in this. 6:14
Didn’t she play for the other team..?
@@leecromer3289 both but who cares.
Those days was the best ever
The Hollies were on Ready Steady Go but they had battled with Dave Clark over concert billing and they didn't get along because of it. Graham Nash was not complementary to the Dave Clark 5, saying "They couldn't play worth $hit". So that's why no RSG clips of The Hollies have surfaced.
a session drummer played nearly all the dave clark drum parts on those early records...so yeah graham was right....david.
@@puresandoz2598 Whenever you see a clip of the Dave Clark 5 performing, it's almost always a miming. He doesn't look like a real drummer, always staring straight ahead and grinning, barely looking at his drums at all.
Absolutely true Dave Clark 5 were awful, I mean the Beatles, the Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Animals, The Hollies were far superior!! Dave Clark were jock preppy shit!!
@@kevinmorrow5557 OK.....but "Glad All Over" , Bits And Pieces" were great singles.
Dave Clark and Mike Smith wrote their own songs. 'Glad All Over' is as classic as "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
Admittedly they became mediocre very soon. Just like Herman's Hermits they acquired almost Beatle mania status for two years in the U.S. which didn't do much for their quality output though .
@@PAULLONDEN Wll said, Paul
Sad to think that of all those girls and guys still alive most would be nearly 80 years old now.
Jimmy Powell, was on June 12 1964. Brilliant leader of the 5 dimensions, and great harmonica player.rip my friend May 13 2016. Ray Drury Sheffield.that’s jimmy in my picture. Ps he’s song is,THATS ALL RIGHT.
Ringo was dancing on the Dusty Springfield song "Every Day I Have to Cry", but he was edited out for some reason. He can be seen on other versions that have been uploaded.
I was only 8 when this was filmed great music
Some people are actually closer to the instruments than the artists!
I think the origional show was filmed in Atv redifusion house in kings way
Yeah I seem to remember that.
I'd love to see each episode complete please!!!!
they are as about complete as you will ever get! i had to edit certain things out due to youtube copyright infringement issues and anything beatles related is almost strictly off limits! dave clark who owned all the shows wouldn't put them out complete but mixed and matched different shows so blame him....now they are owned by a large german entertainment company we hopefully may get them released properly and in full but....and there's always a but it could run into song right's etc...but lets keep our fingers crossed....david.
@@puresandoz2598 Ok. Thank you.
Best show ever
Absolutely fantastic.
Dusty Springfield rules!
A really lovely person
The lady who danced the hitchhiker, looks like a young Dusty Springfield.
My name is Gypo I danced on the first 20 programs, also picked some good dancer😅
who would have thought Andy Burnham was dancing all those years ago?
That Simon Scott dude actually had guts to present this unusual song in such a confident manner. Found it quite funny .
Kenny Lynch.....writer of Sha-La-La-La-Lee and a bunch of other best sellers.
Dusty Springfield , great singer , presenting though , not one of her strong points.
Simon Scott had the audacity to try to not be a one-hit wonder. He failed.
He was a respected singer & had a 40 yr career. He was drowned in heavy flooding in 2015 during Storm Desmond in Ireland when he was swept away after leaving his car.
Dusty was terribly shy, Paul, as I bet you know really.
Reminds me of the film hairspray.
Corny Collins show.
The Beatles sounded their best ever
wow....Beatles, head 'n above all participants
in corporate/mercenist withholding of their music here
Was that Ringo in the crowd dancing??? Yes!
nothing unusual about a person even a famous person dancing.
@@liamg353 the reason I commented on him dancing in the crowd is because it was at a time when he could be just a regular person on a dance floor....something he would never be able to do in the months ahead.
There was another episode when George Best was in the crowd dancing.
@@lagerhound And I bet he scored that night!
Hey Cathy, I for one can definitely understand why Kenny Lynch's records never went high in the charts.
They were crap.
Hi, thanks for uploading another volume. do you by any chance have the Christmas episode from 1964 (season 2 episode 17)? It would really help me out as I've been searching for it as my nan danced in it and I'm trying to help her find the video. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
i'm sorry to say i dont have acopy...keep looking on youtube as it may turn up one day...dave clark enterprises only released a small amount of 'rsg' to channel four t.v.and a dvd release...hopefully now he has sold all his sharings to a german company we might see a proper release and upgraded sound/picture...but we dont know how many shows he bought and had in his archive...its said many were destroyed by the t.v company its self!..david.
@@puresandoz2598 Sorry for the late reply, I've only just seen this. Thanks for the help Ill make sure to keep looking :)
What's the first song?
Innocence with a capital l
Dusty and Ringo sounds like two cowboys.
Brilliant finish with the Fabs being tested on Karl Marx's ideological concept. I wonder if any of them had studied, or would study, dialectical materialism.
Simon Scott, what drip couldn't sing for toffee. Oh and no thanks to CZcams. shame copyright we did not get to hear the Beatles. No great loss.
agree... but look at all the girls swooning
Best lip-sync show ever.
.... and it never went out of fashion! (⌒▽⌒)
its all mine...!
4:00 Hmmmm. Does this look vaguely familiar to a mid '90s line dance. Looks like Los del Río might have seen this before. Can you say plagiarism?
04:00 The Orchids! Such talent. Then they rushed off the do their O Levels and A Levels and beyond and get "proper" jobs like good Grammar school girls should.
B E A T L E S
I don't think you would have a chance of being picked up if you danced the hitch-hiker on the motorway.
Wrong ANY girl had a great chance of being picked up on a motorway and quick.
Why was the Beatles song muted?
youtube mute copyright songs and the beatles are the worst....see my comments above!
Yes, they're always muted on these 'RSG' clips.
What was really good about Ready Steady Go was Jimmy Saville wasn't on it!
why only the beatles not hearinig in video?
copyright infringement i'm afraid....youtube under orders from apple corps will not allow beatles....
Great compilation of songs apart from the "My baby's got soul " wtf Ha!
Simon Scott &The LeRoys had one hit record, "Move It Baby". A good one.
You cattle fail to understand this is how sayan works, corrupting the mases steep by steep. A little rock music, mini skirts, free mixing. Next generation a little riskier & so on.
Why does the Hitchhike remind me of Pinky and Perky?
Dont know why they took rsg off and lumbered us with top of the flops im sure rsg had i much higher following brings back great memories jim 29 oct 23
Keith Fordice, doing a great job although he appears to not fit in.
On these types of venues, I understand there's many reasons of why they don't, but I wish they would let the band ( especially if they're accomplished musicians ) of letting them play their songs 'live' and not lip syncing .. I play guitars and play a bit of drums so it's odd for me to see guitars without electric cords aka cordless guitars? lol...And seeing the drummer supposedly hitting the cymbals and the cymbals is not moving at all, just seems odd and weird to me...But none the less, I enjoy the music tho, lol
The TV sound men were hopelessly inadequate at the time . Some of the live played footage is atrocious. These acts were all very experienced. They could all play .
21:10 John, the Marxist.
Indeed...

@@dallaskenn
But how "intellectual" can it be to follow the precepts of someone hired by N Rothschild to come up with something along satanic lines?
The very conceited, Beatles never sounded any better.🙉
Music was crapy, so bland....
So is today's shit.
Dusty was so lacking in confidence that when she was recording she had the backing track turned up so loud that she couldn’t hear her vocal.
My wife helped look after her when she had a breakdown in the late 60s.
She was Britain’s best female singer ever, bar none!
The best way to see the Beatles WITH NO SOUND. I never liked them and still don't
Agree completely.
