Oli announced in Sausage's Episode that a week from that episode aired Oli will hold a festival at the greatbridge so I'm guessing the revelation about the rift will be revealed at that time or during the Hermitcraft Charity Event.
I am absolutely sure this crossover is going to happen, I mean it all makes sense. The Rift's appearance in Empires, the strange chicken and fox appearing in hermitcraft. Connection? YES! As for when, I think atleast all of the members or majority of the members have to find/see this Rift in Empires so that all of their audience also is aware and knows then it would make sense to reveal it all.

FalseSymmetry also tried approaching the Rift in her most recent Hermitcraft episode and ended up being shocked by it, I wonder if the fact that she’s also on Empires and her Empires character has memory problems can tie into it?

I think you are right about the rift and my theory is that: All the creatures that the members of Empires sent through the Rift, might have lost the "Lore/magic" that was in them but only exisited in the Empires World. So when the creatures arrived in Hermitcraft, they lost their Empires Lore Magic( If you understand) and turned to normal hermitcraft creatures. Which is why Gary turned into a normal fox. BUT I think some creatures may have been disrupted and may not have come in their "original" form in Hermitcraft. Which is why Fwip's Snot turned into a ravager instead of a pig.
Just letting you know that I've seen all of Grian's current(as of writing this) hermitcraft episodes and nothing from empires have come through the rift so far so while this theory may still stand if we ever see these animals coming out the hermitcraft rift, it's hard to say for sure. Also that clip showing the animals coming through the rift isn't actually from any of Grian's hermitcraft videos and was most likely just made by prismarina.

@@minisamuri2 However in Grian's last episode (HC S9 Episode 24) at 1:15 you can see a fox and a pig in the background and at 1:49 you can see a feather randomly floating in the background to the right of Grumbot Prime. The feather could have easily be what was left of one of the chickens that hatched from Pixlriff's thrown eggs after Gary the fox got to it (foxes attack chickens). As for the pig: it makes more sense if Sniff became just a normal wild pig without the Empires magic instead of a ravenger (plus it's more subtle) It doesn't make much sense as to how those animals would get there (except through the rift) since all of Grian's attempts to get animals down there so far have resulted in a few accidental tragic deaths (and that was with a slow falling potion) so how would those animals get down there? Also last time I checked no animals spawned naturally down there except for slimes. Prismarina obviously was working on this video before Grian's episode came out, otherwise there would have been a few more juicy tidbits to take apart.

@@stanlybeagug4775 Ok I looked harder and did indeed notice said mobs and items at those points. Now I wonder how long til we see that toy Joel tossed through, or at least some sign of it. Unless it's shown up in a different hermit's video, after all Grian isn't the only hermit to visit the area where the rift is.

I wonder, if the rift connects the two settings, then could Grian be the antagonist for Empires after all. He wouldn't even need to do anything out of character, just explain his presence as an extra dimensional invaider or something.

Really enjoyed this episode one theory is that the reason the rift appeared in empires is so people from empires can participate in GoodTimesWithScars Event on hermitcraft
I have a couple of theories:
Maybe Hermitcraft and/or Empires will get a new member and the rift is how they join?
Maybe king Ren is the evil king from sausage's backstory and this is how he becomes this season's villain.
I've also seen someone speculate the rift in Empires opened to allow the members to join in on the Hermit charity stream, which would be pretty cool :)

The hermitcraft charity stream and the empires festival are both happening next sunday, if they aren't connected then the creators are being weirdly cruel to the fans. The Festival is on the bridge, right in view of the portal.
False referred to the festival as the "Rift Festival" in an episode description from today so for sure the festival and the rift are connected.

1:25 Honestly, that turned out as well as it did because it wasn't planned to happen. It just happened and they just rolled with it just for some pretty great collaborations with the other users on the server. Same goes for the Turf War in Season 7.
I really think this is all about them guesting for the hermit's charity event. Ofc they don't want to just join the server to play, they want it to have a story and if using the rift is the way it's a cool way to connect the 2 servers. Can't wait for the weekend

Does anyone else notice that the builds on Grian’s mega base look like the buildings/temples in Joel’s Empire? Could Grian’s mega base have been originally built by the so called “dead gods” that Joel keeps saying once inhabited Stratos. I mean it was built right above the rift on floating islands after all….
Also, did anyone notice that the rift in Empires S2 got bigger each time someone sent something into it?
As this was confirmed today, I believe it's possible the rift, and the other layers of grians base, may hint at interactions with other smps across CZcams. The fact that grians bottom layer follows roman architecture, one of the biggest empires, and that the smp they visited correlate could mean that other layers correspond to other smps that they visit.
With the recent crossover and rewatching this video, it makes sense how the rift is important to Grian’s base. For example, the neoclassical building looks like the same theme as Joel’s Stratos in empires. Maybe we will get a western or fantasy theme next!
I still think the most interesting part of the hermitcraft lore in specific is the "coming darkness" referenced in ren's first episode of season 9, that is what his main storyline is leading up to and is being vague about and I have a feeling he is at least somewhat aware of the multiverse, and there is a chance that the characters guiding ren (not doing a good job explaining as I haven't watched those episodes in a while), consider the rift to be the "coming darkness". I am unsure if the rift will end up being some threat and would need to be closed, but I personally believe that it IS what is being referred to as that "coming darkness".

The clues are there, we’re just doing our part theorizing!

The only thoughtful thing is False’s comment to Grumbot and what Grumbot told Scar…
I agree about the rift. I noticed the similarities during the Empires videos, specifically Mythical Sausages most recent video. I also noticed how some in Hermitcraft have been speaking more about Lore than they did in the beginning of the series. I'm excited for this new theory.
Some of the hermits would start adding more lore as the season progresses. Most likely to freshen up the experience for both them and the viewers. So, it's logically that they would do it now.
Mabye during the festival, since everyone is going there i think it might be a big lore moment such as the wedding and the rivendell feast
Just a point I wanted to add (ik im late-) is that Grumbot wasn't actually the first to come through the rift - sorta.
If you see Grian's megabase closely, you will find different elements of his other seasons' bases. The color palette come from season 8 from the bank in the Midnight alley was the same for the build here. The rock's colors come from season 7 while the thing on the front looks like the Arcitech's logo - the group Grian, Mumbo and Iskall had created back then. Also I find the Entity's legs being the exact same color as Octagon confuses me - almost intentional, isn't it? If the video wasn't enough to prove the Rift's capabilities, here it is!
The Rift could be related to black/white holes (or worm holes). Notice how on Grians side it glows from its own light and stuff only comes out. And on the Empires side the Rift is dark and only sucks things in. Which makes me think that Grian shooting the TNT through the wrong side of the rift will make a rip in reality. :) Just a theory

Some more evidence, other than the obvious festival lore, is in Gem’s Hermitcraft series. In one of her most recent videos she went to Grians rift bc of a compass and we can hear her Empires self at the other rift. So yes, there are canonically 2 Gems. idk about False, and I really wanna see Sausage’s reaction to Pearl, but other than that, we festival lore and ‘Toy Mica Jam is Nifty’.
Fun fact, this theory was absolutely and undeniably confirmed in both Grian's and Mythical Sausage's recent episodes
Since they're giving us all these lore story bits and hints, then i believe the crossover's gonna happen, and maybe our Empires s2 grp and grian from hermitcraft s9 will explore the rift morein future episodes
I have a feeling that a lot of this theory might be revealed at olis party he’s hosting. It’ll be a time when all the empires together and I have a feeling a big piece of lore will be revealed.
Theory:In dream smp,Karl did a thing about Tales of the smp where he travels through the time line. But, the in between is a place for *TIME TRAVELLERS* to stay for a while. The thing is as we know today Karl is one of the only time traveller we know. But what if the other time travellers are from different dimensions (smps). We could predict that sausage could be one of them as he remembers a little about the first season of empires. We could also predict Lizzie and Joel as they remember their court case from X life. We could also have Grian and Martyn due to the watcher and the listeners for Evo to life series. And a possibility that cpk is one because he went from dream smp to MCC practice server.And Joey could too from his skyblock. So from this we could tell that almost all the smps has at least 1 time traveler or dimension traveler.

I have a theory about Fasle now, what if Gem knows about hermitcraft and she uses the rift to transport between dimisions, then one day, False wondered where she was going and followed her through the portal, but since she wasnt meant to be in that universe, she lost all her memory
I commented this on Grian’s episode 25 of hermitcraft “Ask a certain Gem, or maybe someone particularly False, try another Empire or maybe 13.”
It's all confirmed now. Grian's note have been founded in the empire's rift
in grians new ep, he gets a piece of paper, saying i forget what, but i and a few of my friends noticed its a scrambled message, that spells out "jimmy is in fact a toy" fwhip threw that thru their rift, since it appeared later then grians rift, i think its less powerful causing the message to get scrambled. and at the very end of grians ep we see him and a bunch of other hermits going into his rift portal, though if you look closely you can kinda see false hesitating, because the last time she tried to touch the rift she was electrocuted.
and not to mention during everyones episodes of the festival, when oli is performing he gets a piece of paper saying "new portal, who diss?" which grian sent thru his portal.
in regards to sausage, i think he'll most likely recognize pearl and try worship her, shell likely be confused as all hell but go along with it.
i cannot wait to see where this goes

And have both their versions Merge,
With the story being that they need a way to split the merged friends.
It could end up with 1 hermit being "forced" to go to the Empires server/series, ending both seasons with said hermit, joining empires for a while.

The fact Fwip heard an explosion when he found it.. And grian sent tnt into the rift..
At the end of Grian’s most recent episode of HermitCraft he launches TNT through the rift
If TNT randomly pops out of the rift in Empires I think we have our answer
Oh you midsed the episode where false went to grumbot and almost touched the rift but couldn’t enter,getting a static shock of sorts. My guess because she already exists in the other realm. Now the question is, will Grian go to the empires or will something/someone from empires go to Grian. Also in Grians episode there were no chickens, fox or pigs through the portal, just that Grian would disconnect if he tried to go through. SO MANY QUESTIONS AAAAAAH

Since False doesn't know where she came from and she keeps getting dreams what if that when she sleeps in hermitcraft (I've never watched it ) she is transported to empires as a new version of herself due to the rift in Grian's base .

I didn't even put two and two together that both series had giant rifts until this video.
Kinda curious how Sausage will react to the fact that Pearl is making soup and working for the rebels if there is a crossover.
i'm just imagining a live stream where something like the islands of stratos loosing its float causing them too be pulled into the rift. maybe those who didnt throw items or animals into the portal will walk in them selves. imagine someone just checking the tab list and seeing joel lizzie fwhip jimmy etc.

I kinda assumed that the rift in empires is connected to the upcoming villain. as in jimmys new episode he checked the rift which it seemed like it expanded. i also believe that by grian pressing that button not only turning it to a nether portal, made the rift in empires expand? idk that last bit came in mind last second. imagine a multidimensional Rift villain? corrupting empires then further more moving to hermitcraft if not solved? crazy ain't it. *FIGHT ME*

IVE GOT AN EMPIRES SMP THEORY: so in mythical sausages empires smp he gets turned into a zombie by Shelby and then find the circle of rebirth so what if that circle of rebirth was originally the place where Kathrine stored her corruption and later on was the place where they sealed xornoth into a tiny crystal, what if that place was later repurposed as a place where people could essentially be reborn
So what I know it's confirmed that empire's smp season 2 and hermitcraft season 9 are connected through the rift because on one of iJeven's more recent videos you could hear a backwards recording a sausage coming from the rift

In one episode, its hard to see but a dark shadowey figure flies out of the Rift's cavern. I noticed it and it was classic model (so not slim) and it had no armour. Something went through the rift-

What if hermitcraft s9 is actually locked in time by the rift? And the reason ok why the build will be a mishmash of grians past hermitcraft seasons is because it is populated by grians from other timeliness,universes past and future?

Empires has a similar lore to Hermitcraft, involving the rift. Lots of odds going on in the server. They canonically have no idea who Mumbo is in Empire lore, but even _Sheriff Jimmy_ acknowledged the "Mumbo for Sheriff" propaganda. Looking forward to whatever they've got going on.

In grians latest episode, a fox is seen in the background which could not have spawned in because the rift in underground and not in a taiga biome. It is also shown that there are feathers on the floor, implying that there were once chickens. False interacted with the rift on hermitcraft and was electric shocked by it or something.
