Sometimes I feel like the only person in England who appreciates Manu Chao. It was a Czech friend who introduced me to him. I play his solo stuff in the shop I work at, people ask me who it is because it's so good, and nobody has ever heard of him. Sadly big business controls the music industry here, and as a result we miss out on people like Manu, Goran Bregovic and No Smoking Orchestra. Thankfully we live in the time of youtube!
