I love how Midge and Sophie were making jokes to one up each other, then it quickly turned to roasting each other hahaha!
This was indeed, a spectacular season. I Loved every second of it. =]
It gets better and better looking forward to season 5 wish season 6 , 7 , 8 ………

I love this show, but the comedy this season wasn’t really as great as the other seasons. I hope they end S5 with a banger of material!

Ok so the inspiration for her character was taken from Joan Rivers and the foul language from Jackie Mason. And Sophie L. was Phyllis Diller .
There's a bit of Erma Bombeck in there too, although she was more known for her writing. "Do you want kids right away? Well, I have two for you..." could've come straight from her.
Timing is everything.

I love love love this season....but I was a bit taken back with the end of Midge’s routine at the Kennedy thing! Why? That was not necessary. Sometimes for that time period you make her language too vulgar. Think about it..

@@Artofcarissa Please Carissa…..rewatch that last part. The woman who was in charge of the event literally asked her not to swear or be vulgar.
And I grew up in the 50s and 60s, Midge would had been my mothers age……sure they swore….and I’m not speaking of that, ok? It’s the content of what she said towards the end of her routine.
@@barbarabonnette2705 She warned them, she told them she wasn't going to do it because it was too vulgar but they insisted anyways. The crowd was loving it, and laughing until it came to the "cheating" part.

Never watched this show... But when I saw this pop up, I was really hoping I would laugh at the jokes and find a new show to binge!
...Not once did I laugh. If you want to prove "Women are Funny, too!" then you need to learn to write actual comedy for them to perform. Problem is, there are so few genuinely funny female comics, that they have better things to do than write for this dumpster fire.
I mean, if I really wanted to have a good laugh today, I would have looked at myself in the mirror. I was just hoping this show would do the work for me. How silly of me.
