Ugh I'm sorry about your car. I have many family members and friends who got Jeeps that ended up regretting it. They have had soooo many mechanical issues (one right after the other). I am so sorry about this. I hope that you guys find your dream car soon. 🥺❤️

Vehicle specs for towing, how often you’ll actually use the off-road specs? Cost? Please do some research and make an adult decision based on more than how something looks.

Did you watch more than 5 seconds? It sounds like they'll have plenty to do with it especially once Addy is older and they go camping. They seem to be making adult decisions and they're still new to being adult so they'll learn,dont be so hard on them.

i think the ford would be better for sure! i know some models have mechanical issues too but overall with the features you like and looking into the specs i know you guys will make the safe and correct choice for YOUR family. Everyone has different preferences and needs and it’s always good to consider that while picking out cars!☺️
tbh from a purely reliability standpoint none of the trucks outside of the Toyota will be a real step above her Wrangler, but at the same time the Toyota can't hold a candle to the big 3s car like features so it really comes down to reliability that's nice or just outright luxury at the cost of repairs.
I had a Jeep Cherokee that had a terrible death wobble. It was so bad I would have to pull over multiple times a day. My dad drove it and it never wobbled once. I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willy's and thankfully have never had any issues.

My 2019 Jeep Wrangler never had any issues! No electric issues, no death wobble, no mechanical issues at all!
Upgraded parts on ANY vehicle can increase your ride quality and longevity of your vehicle!
I suggest looking up each vehicle you consider and look up these different things: yearly maintenance cost, overall rating for each year of the model being considered, any recalls for the year and model, obvsly the safety rating, the average gas mileage and definitely test dtive all of them to see how the mirrors and windows are positioned. Cuz fome cars sre cool but wif the mirtors/windows suck thrn dveryday you drive it will be a pain in the ass. Anyways good luck love you guys lll

Sorry about your car😭 my family and I love Toyota, they run a long time and if you take them in for regular maintenance that’s all you’ll have to do! I have a 2018 Toyota Highlander and have never had any issues. Hope you find the car you love!

That was me this year trying to justify getting the new wrangler, but there’s SO MANY bad reviews even on the new ones.. so I went with the Honda CRV. Honda or Toyota is the way to go imo!

So interesting! My father in law had a dodge ram from 2016 which was constantly receiving safety recall notices and he was always taking it into the shop for various reasons. He bought a used Jeep wrangler (not sure what year but definitely older than 2019) and it’s been fine 😂. My husband has a 2020 Toyota tacoma and loves it. It’s a bit tight with 5 passengers or anyone over 5’10 though. Curious to see what y’all pick.
My 2016 Jeep Wrangler never had a problem. Sold for more than I paid . It was a stick and I was just too short to comfortably drive it.
2014 dodge 1500 are awesome. We have never had an issue
I just got rid of my Jeep also. First time owning a Jeep Wrangler. I upgraded to a Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7L. Crew Cab. Don't regret getting rid of the Jeep at all.

The death wobble happens in Fords to, I drove my fiancé‘s Ford F250 I was on the highway with our son in the back and it started to do that and it was my first experience not knowing what it was and I freaked out and pulled over.
We see alot of trucks that have a deeh wobble, it fixable. Its an alignment or tire issue. It isnt just just jeep. Get your tires alined it you hit a curb, a rock , pot holes anything to knock it out of alignment. Keep your tires aired properly and rotated when you do your oil changes.

Subaru has some of the highest safety ratings in general. Outbacks are fantastic so I highly recommend. I have an Impreza and I love it
Edit: they all have all wheel drive and they’re excellent for camping and off-roading

I agree to this! I have a Subaru Outback 2014 and to this day, I only did a few maintenance/parts changed but overall no complaints! I even used it to drive from Queens NY to Sacramento. Love my Subaru!
@@marikodr honestly this is so true, my mom had a 2010 outback that ran so beautifully because she kept the maintenance on point. She has one of those new 2023 Wilderness edition outbacks she does alot of camping and outdoorsy things so it’s amazing for her

No honda Ridgeline? My family loves minivans, my odyssey is pretty nice. I had a wrangler for 5 years before that, problems from off the lot till I sold it. I have a 2 door wrangler that I love. Those are fun, take the doors and top off, it's awesome.
You need to look into the tundras and Tacoma's by Toyota!! They are really reliable and last long years as long as you do proper maintenance

If you haven’t decided yet, take a look at Tacoma. I love mine! Traded a BMW wagon for it in 2020. Best decision ever. Great size for me. I’m a 5’2 mama.
A old friend of mine used to have a keep wrangler and it was red too! He had to take it in the shop like every two weeks and lucky had parents to pay for it each time 😂 the only thing good about that car is when he crashed and rolled 5 times he and all his friends In the jeep didn’t get one scratch on them. 😅

Ford=fix or repair daily lol my ex that I dated 6years and he ended up saying I'm done with ford lol he got a ram which was amazing. Didn't always have a lot of issues so spacious and comfortable

I love my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara! Nothing MAJOR has happened but it's been a pain to maintain & I'm going to sell it next month ( new car for my birthday (: )

I am mopar or no car. I drive a dodge Durango and never had an issue with it. Had it for 3 years.
We two Dodge Rams . They have been great, although our older truck is more comfortable than newer one. The gas is stupid.
Did you test drive the vehicle? Take it to the mall try parking it forward and backing it into the spaces. Take it on the freeway check it's acceleration getting on.
My favorite is the Chevy trucks!! Really reliable!!
We got a jeep patriot and the transmission literally failed the day we went to take it home. That vehicle caused so much trauma, we dumped so much money into it. Jeeps are not worth it at all. I’m so sorry y’all dealt with that!

Just got an 02' Jeep Liberty. Although it needed minor repairs (like axle seals) the engine runs like a champ. The V6 is incredibly smooth and quiet for a 5 speed
I bought a V6 Liberty in 2003, drove it until 2015 when my daughter turned 16 and gave it to her. SHE drove it a few years and sold it to another young lady. NEVER a problem. Great vehicle!!

I wish I could recommend a chevy, but I cannot. I have a 2021 Tahoe, and initially it was perfect, then it had tons of problems, but they were under warranty, and easy to fix. Then, it had a while where it was great, again. Now, we have had many wheel/tire issues, and now, the engine is making a terrible, high pitched grinding. It is stumping mechanics, and it has nothing to do with the wheels.
The best safety car you can get is a Toyota forerunner. I’m on my second one and I have had my first one for 11 years are 2018 will last me probably another 11 years
Hahahah love wranglers, but they’re a mess. My in laws had one as a fun 3rd car (my father in law loves working on cars) and it worked for that purpose, but not a primary car
Toyota/Lexus and then Honda for reliability. American or Euro cars are something I wouldn't even bother to consider as an option if reliability is your top priority. I say this as a person that has driven a 98 4Runner for the last 25 years.
I feel ya Mal, I lve always gotten car sickness but i dont think its ever been as bad as when i was pregnant and afterwards. Its been 2 years since having Maryella my Daughter and i can't stand being in the backseat. The front seat i still feel car sickness but the backseat is the worst. I'll be gaging back there telling my Bf to either hurry and get to the destination or pull over so i can breathe 😅
Now if we take "long" trips (like an hour drive 😂) i have to take medicine first.
But when i drive I'm completely fine. Its so weird to me. 🙃

However, I strongly encourage anybody thinking about getting a modern truck or SUV to look into the crash compatibility of *any* light truck with passenger cars. Light trucks (which includes your modern pick-up truck and SUV) are only crash tested on other light trucks, which spurred the claim that they're very safe cars. They were not tested with any other type of car; they don't legally need to be. It's been shown that they actually increase the risk of severe injury or fatality in a car accident with a passenger car. Light trucks make up roughly 1/3 of the vehicles on the road, but over 1/2 of all light vehicle to light vehicle fatalities in an accident involve a light truck. They are incompatible with other cars in a crash.

Ugh... NEVER buy a brand new car off the lot. The second you drive off it loses 30% of it's value. Buy a car with 5 or even 10,000 miles on it and you still get the warranties etc. without the extra cost.
From what I understand, the Toyota trucks will be the most reliable and least problematic of any of the major brand pick-ups. The BBC show Top Gear took an old Toyota Hi-Lux (European model) farm truck and tried to KILL it! They could not. Even after several hours of immersion in the ocean, it still started up with minimal mechanical intervention! Toyota trucks are famous around the world for their ruggedness. Good luck with your new purchase. I hope it's suitable. I hope your CZcams income is growing, because gasoline prices aren't going to get lower anytime soon.
Get the ram!! I’ve owned 5 since my very first one (a 1994) and have taken all but one to 185,000+ miles! Only one that didn’t make it that far was totaled by a dui driver while parked 😢
Mechanic here, jeeps are honestly the worst when it comes to all issues. I would highly suggest avoiding them. Unless you get the 4.0 straight 6 which is in the 90's model Jeep Cherokees

Oh, I wanted to throw this out there. If you ever get a sunroof in a car, please be aware they have drain tubes. If the tubes aren’t regularly cleaned and maintained, it can drain into your car. I lost my car a week ago because my sunroof tubing had an error. It drained into my car, caused mold and insurance totaled it.
You should check out the Durango.
I knew what I wanted and waited 4 months to make sure God said it was ok. When I got to the dealer, they only had a more upscale model. I figured if God wasn't ok with it, He would stop the sale, I trust Him to let me know. They gave me more than I was asking for, for my trade in, upscaled all of my warrantees and when I got in the car and saw allllll of the bells and whistles I was blown away by what God had blessed me with. Everything I didn't even know I wanted. Camera's, Moon Roof, Dash that changes scenes, so many USB ports, Wireless charging. I love my 2023 Kia Sportage X-Line Pro Prestige, and I am so very Blessed!!!

My mom has a 2011 gmc terrain and it's a complete lemon in my opinion she had a gmc Sierra truck brand new and it had several issues within 3 yrs she sold it to a young man for $3,000 it was 6 or 7 years old..... she felt bad charging him! The terrain is in atm $2,000+ service for $12,000+ in recalls, repairs, "routine maintenance " it's baseline model standard.... I will never buy gmc

Fords get really bad death wobble after it’s a few years old, you can always get a new truck at that point but is it worth it

Chevy's and Dodge's are GREAT vehicles (I'm a Chevy gal😉), Toyata's and Honda's last forever, Ford's are ALWAYS breaking down like Jeep! And Subaru's are the SAFEST VEHICLES to drive!!!!!!
