I just stumbled upon this video because I'm a fragrance-aholic and I absolutely love your personality! Totally want to watch more of your vids! We have similar taste in scents, too! Right now I'm loving the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. Floral, fresh, & sweet! Doesn't last too long on me though-- some scents are just worth reapplying!

What you said about pink sugar and men is so true! I wore B&BW Twisted Peppermint a lot in college, and on me it smells exactly like cotton candy for some reason. I got guys asking all the time what I was wearing, or standing up and asking who smelled like cotton candy. It was hilarious!

I'm 52 years old and have been collecting/loving perfume since I was 13 years old.
My babysitting money went on all-things scented. beautiful smelling shampoos, perfume, soaps, you name it.
I'm very into Niche/Indie perfume but do love many designer scents, as well.
Stella is fabulous!
Also just bought a mini roll-on of Stella by Tocca, and it's a beauty, too.
You should try it ... sephora does carry it.
Love many Dior scents, one of my favorites being Hypnotic Poison.
No shame in liking your "M." lol.
I adore JLo Glow. and actually a few of her namesake scents.
Some Celebscents are pretty darn OK!
They really were in the '70s and '80s.
Example: Misha, one of my favorite scents ever made, by Mikhail Baryshnikov (or at least he lent the perfume company his name) ... I sold my bottle a while ago and regret it terribly.

I tend to love the light floral scents, but I did have Viva La Juicy and Pink Sugar. I managed to finish Viva La Juicy, but Pink Sugar went rancid with half a bottle remaining. I only have 1 perfume now, and I keep it out so I'll remember to use it every day.
Pink Sugar smelled like vanilla cupcakes to me. It's one of those fragrances that's nice to wear once in a while, but can become sickly sweet really quickly.
lilblondehooker I could totally see it being too much after a while. I only wear it periodically. Love switching my perfume out on a weekly basis. I feel like I am always wearing something new :)

Great collection! Thanks for sharing. Funny what you said about the "M" perfume bottle. Lol. I am curious to know what you think about the Marc Jacobs bottles Dot and Honey bottles. Lol. I love Heavenly and Pink Sugar! I mix Pink Sugar with other perfumes that I don't care for or to sweeten another perfume up.
I agree that perfume can change your outlook! I also love the wild madagascar vanilla scent but yes it disappears almost instantly. You should try Forever Red from BBW I get so many compliments on it and it lasts a few hours! Sorry to hear one of your perfumes is discontinued. Maybe try looking on Amazon? Recently I found one of my favorite discontinued candles on there!

I like your collection! Perfume is one of my favorite things in the world. You have great taste. :) I actually own the M perfume by mariah carey and I love wearing it during this time of year. The Parisienne is perfection though. :)

SirenMarjo Depends. Some keep for years some only for a couple.
You should still try the perfune because once that gone off smell dissipates, ur left with the original.perfume smell....
Great video & lovely fragrances Melanie.... Being a single mom I have not been able to afford high end perfumes in a while but a recent order from Urban Decay by my daughter had some perfume samples in the package & one of the samples was Stella!! I immediately thought of you & your precious lil girl & OMG that perfume is amaze-balls LOL.... I used it the very next day & we had a family gathering to attend so there were lots of hugs happening! I could not tell you how many people complimented me on how great I smelled sooooo needless to say Stella just went to the top of my wish list for when I have the extra spending money, that is the next treat this mommy will be getting! :D
Well hold up now lol... I commented before I finished the video... now you just said IF you are a single lady you NEED the pink cotton candy smelling stuff lol... so it is added to the wish list as well... may get it first... 7 years alone is a LONG time haha
Reesa Ree LOL! Yes, dudes love some pink sugar! I have no idea why, but they love it!!! Hahaha! Momma, you deserve a treat. I hope that you are able to get some perfume soon! In the meantime, go get samples at Sephora to try out! They can totally make up samples for you! I do it quite frequently when I want to try something out :)

I loved that VS Cashmere scent! I didn't get the perfume sadly(only the body lotion). When I finally had money it had already been pulled of the shelves :(
Have you tried Candy by Prada? I got a few samples and I've been loving it lately. ^.^
And I know all to well the- this perfume has gone off situation! Growing up my mom always had that 'only for a special occasion' rule when it came to perfume which I kinda adopted also but I quickly realized that every day should be special! Spritz the perfume you love every day!
ratherlikehearts I need to grab a Prada Candy sample the next time I go. I think I have smelled it and I think I remember liking it. And yes, the loss of that VS perfume is such a bummer. It was so good!
hi mel I recently read not to store perfumes in the bathroom and where did I store mine the bathroom lol I haven't got a lot of places to store it but I put the majority of my scents in the bedroom im too a stickler for bottles I bought the vs fancy angel perfume with the fancy pricy bottle but I cant stand the smell but love the bottle lol
LOL! I actually love Heavenly. I really want another bottle but really need to finish one of my current bottles to justify it :)
When you said some of your perfumes went bad, I was going to ask if you kept them out on your dresser, but then you said you keep them in a drawer. That's strange, in that case, that they would turn. I hope all of my perfumes are OK. My oldest ones I purchased in 2010 and 2011 or so, and they both still smell fine. One of them is almost finished anyway.
Sephora has the DKNY Red Delicious perfume on their website under the sale section. I just ordered it to try! :)

kocoa hollis Miss Dior Cherie is discontinued. Its now just Miss Dior. Its VERY similar to me, but some people think its smells different. You'll just have to test the new version and see if you like it :(
MrKongsMom thank u so much for getting back to me. i did smell the new version but didnt care for it because it does smell slightly different from the original. im so mad i never replaced it before it was discontinued because that smell was so beautiful and unique to me. i guess i'll try the new one lol

P.S. Try the one you think went bad ... it's possible the alcohol will burn off and just leave the scent.
I've had perfumes for decades that are still perfect.
But yes, there will be little doubt when they go "off."
You're definitely convincing me to make sure I'm using my fav perfume and not "saving" them for a worthy occasion!

Lol! SO true about the Aquolina Pink Sugar! I totally think that it is a "stripper scent." I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that! I like it, though I just won't wear it anymore, precisely because of what you said -- ALL day long, guys will be asking what I'm wearing. It was flattering the first few times, but quickly got VERY old. Melanie, I think that you gave some sage advice to the single ladies out there, looking to attract guys....wear Pink Sugar, they'll start swarming!

I saved my Chanel Chance for special occasions and it turned. So sad. It is still an ok smell but it wears off in like an hour now....lesson learned.

My son......aged 23,ran out of his Christian Dior Fahrenheit,so he thought he'd use my Miss Dior,as you said,used sparingly.....v expensive..... I had 3/4 bottle left....... thought I was going mad/sleep walking when I saw 1/4 bottle left!!!!! He'd been spraying it like water...... University is teaching him nothing,clearly!! Xx
