The song Ang AKING AWITIN was composed by Bong Gabriel in 1978 and was entered into the 1979 Metro Manila Popular Music Festival. It had been covered by many artists with the most recent ones done by Side A and Noel Cabangon. The lyrics depict the singer's struggle to confess their true feelings to the person they are deeply in love with. They find it difficult to express the genuine emotions of their heart through verbal communication. Instead, they resort to conveying their emotions through the power of music.
Monching's arrangement is the same key as the original and the succeeding covers. The relentless arpeggios and awkward fingers (which I figured out by myself) presents quite a few challenges to playing the piece effectively. However, with practice, it becomes easier. Thanks for watching.
