Perfect video to accompany Jackie Evancho singing Your Love. Anyone hearing this for the first time who hasn't heard Jackie will not believe this was a 14 year old girl singing. She is so far ahead of her contemporaries it boggles the mind. And she gets better every day. She has no competition. Reaching those high notes and clearly holding them without any wavering or strain. That is remarkable.

I love Edda Dell Orso. Jackie's rendition with the lyrics is also very impressive. Especially so since she performed this when she was 14, I believe. I would love to hear Jackie 'hum' this song now that she's and her voice are maturing. Humming is infinitely easier to produce a gorgeous tone and Jackie's voice would rival Ms Orso's version. Then I would play both of theirs at the same time. Heaven.

The serene clarity and delicate smoothness of this song caught me by surprise. While I am used to Ms Evanchos awesome awesome voice she can still surprise me with her ability to stop me in my tracks for a moment and just listen to greatness!
Jackie's greatest attribute is that she taught herself to sing this way. It remains pure. I have read many comments saying that she should attend some opera academy or have an opera trainer. That would only corrupt her voice into being the creation of someone else. It would no longer be Jackie's voice we hear. She would most likely not sound this great anymore. Thank God prodigies have a mind of their own.
I like the sung version, but the hummed version by Edda Dell'Orso is amazing! Every time I hear Edda's version I can see Claudia Cardinale, Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson in my head.
The hummed version fits perfectly with the drama of the movie, without a distraction of lyrics. However, as a beautiful song to listen to and enjoy on it's own, I'll take Jackie's sung version.

Jackie Evancho is absolutely astonishing!!! Her voice is the most beautiful sounding voice I have ever heard in my 6 decades on this planet. 'Your Love' is beyond description and brings tears. Many of her songs do that but this version of 'Your Time' should be heard by everyone. So darn beautiful. WOW! Almost 5 years of following this extraordinary young lady and it is unbelievable so many people never heard her. I do my best, almost on a daily basis and for almost 5 years telling folks about her. And she is an absolute sweetheart as well. Sure she can do pop, just listen to her singing 'With Or Without You'.......Have no fear, I do not think Jackie will sell her soul to the pop industry. Now, she may do some pop stuff, and I welcome it, but she will not abandon the classical. Too much class this young lady embodies. Best singer ever in my very biased opinion. In Oct. 2015 my teen son and I will see her live for the second time and I just can't wait. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had seen this movie Once Upon A Time In The West a long time ago, excellent movie for us western movie fanatics. It was on again a few months ago and when the music started playing I knew immediately it was Jackie Evancho's Your Love song. I had thought that the music to Jackie's Your Love song was an original but apparently the music was composed decades ago.
Awesome music and with Jackie singing the words it increased the song exponentially! This is one of my favorites of Jackie's songs and as with other of her songs it brings tears to my eyes. I would not doubt that Jackie's voice brings tears of joy to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I'm actually leaving instructions to my family to play this song at my funeral, not that I have any plans to leave this earth anytime soon! One of my goals before I go to the other side is to see Jackie in person. Listening to her songs from a CD is tremendous, cant' imagine how great it will be in person!

I am satisfied with Jackie's vocal version but the humming version by Edda Dell' Orso is what really drowns my mind. The latter echos better to me.
Nobody can sing Your Love like Jackie Evancho. Maybe it's too difficult for most "singers" to conquer such a feat. But Jackie does it well and the only rightful owner of this song and other complicated ones written by masters of song writers.

Edda Dell Orso owns this song any other singers attempts are sacrilegious and should be burned at the stake :-) IMO mankind's most perfect artistic achievement is instrumental music which transcends our physical entrapment on earth, once lyrics are added any musical piece is locked into the dimension created by the lyricist, instrumental music releases our imaginations with no such restrictions.

Edda dell'orso's version is known as "Jill's Theme". She is not humming she is "vocalizing". It is the only version from the movie.
Just to correct an earlier poster. Jackie was still actually 13 when she recorded this for her "Awakening" CD. The CD's release was delayed for months for reasons best known to Sony. It has only recently become available in several European countries. Jackie's voice is a once in a lifetime event. Her record label seems to want to hide it.
Alec Ludlow I don't know when Jackie recorded this track. She may have been 13. I don't know. The Awakening CD was probably scheduled for release in June, but got stalled when Sony Entertainment got hacked in March of 2014. All their in-work projects got delayed because of the FBI investigation. Jackie's album was probably a victim of that. She went ahead with all the promotional appearances as scheduled, so as not to violate all those contracts. The album was finally released in September, just before school started. You may have forgotten, Jackie is still in school. A big part of her life she doesn't want to miss.
Sony is still recovering from the disarray the hackers caused. It is no surprise their production cycles were set back, further complicated by new FCC and RIAA regulations. The Europeans will have to be patient a while longer. They also are anxious for video clips of Jackie they don't have access to from the past 5 years. Further delays may have an impact on not only Jackie's popularity and record sales, but many other entertainers.
Jackie went ahead with the production of the Awakening DVD in August of 2014 as scheduled, then its release got delayed until June 2015. It is doubtful Sony is deliberately hampering Jackie's career. She is very popular in Japan and Asia.
Also, since Jackie has been performing continuously since 2010, producing 5 albums, performed in over 100 concerts, including concerts in Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Russia, Puerto Rico and Thailand, charity events, personal appearances, TV interviews, adds and promotional spots, plus attending school, maybe this lag in her career gives her the opportunity to catch her breath and be a teenager. Despite what everyone expects from her, she is still a teenager. She has earned the right to be left alone for a while. Give her a chance to grow up before you start expecting world tours like some rock star. She is a world-class star with grace, class and an understanding fandom. She is in more demand around the world now than ever. The world is now catching up on a four year lag of recognition of her. Sometimes too much fame can be a handicap. Especially when you are only 15.

In a recent on-line chat I told Jackie's mother that I thought she was doing an excellent job in maintaining a sensible balance between Jackie's career, being a normal teenager and her schooling demands. Mrs Evancho thanked me for my comment. So no Thomas, I haven't forgotten that Jackie is still in school.
Part way through her "Songs from the Silver Screen" tour Jackie announced that there was to be no new CD for a "while". According to those attending that particular concert, she was visibly disappointed when she spoke. In the event the SFTSS tour dragged on for very nearly two years. Jackie must have been fed up with singing the same set list for so long. All of this was before the Sony hacking incident you refer to.
The release of the Awakening DVD was not delayed in the way you mention. It was a PBS production. It could be purchased via their "pledge drives" on the run up to Christmas last year. My own copy cost $80. Once the TV company can wring no more cash out of the deal, then the DVD is put up for general release at "normal" DVD prices. You are correct, it went on general sale in June 2015.
Here in Europe we have only just been able to purchase the audio CD in the past couple of months. I figure if that is not hampering Jackie's career, then it surely isn't helping either. Sony have also been deleting dozens of CZcams videos (in some cases correctly citing copyright) but have even attempted to pull fan videos too. Thomas, I don't know where you first learned of Jackie, but I suspect for most of us it was probably on CZcams. I would not of known of her existence otherwise. The list of foreign engagements you've listed is correct. Realize that Sony's involvement in all of them was next to nothing. Apart from one small article on Sony Masterworks Facebook page many months back, I can find no evidence of them promoting her at all this year.
I'm not expecting a rock star style world tour, those are your words. An important part of Jackie's future success will be the careful selection of venues. Yes, we in Europe are patient. We will look forward to Jackie visiting important venues where her style of classical crossover music concerts is well established.
As an ordinary fan, Jackie owes me nothing. It's me that owes her for all the pleasure she's given me with that fabulous voice of hers. I'm sure that right now Jackie and family are enjoying a well earned family holiday.
I stand by my original point, that I don't think Sony are handling her career development properly.
Alec Ludlow Thanks for your comments and insight. I first became aware of Jackie when she was preparing to go on AGT. It was during a conversation with relatives in the Pittsburgh area about the excitement of her going on the show. I don't know her or her family. I'm just a fan like you. I will always be a fan.
I was only pointing out that circumstances surrounding Jackie's career and Sony may have been impacted by the computer hacks. I don't know that to be fact. Only those people directly involved would know. Without getting into the weeds, there was probably a lot of bad feelings between PBS and Sony. It is a shame when an artists career is stifled by contracts and litigation. Especially when it is such a special talent as Jackie.
Just watching some of the clips of Jackie's recent shows, where she sings songs other than the Awakening tracks, demonstrates her desire to diversify her shows. I don't know what kind of control Sony has over her performances. That is inside baseball between Jackie, her family, her attorneys and the details of her contracts. We can speculate about Sony's desire to put Jackie into the mainstream of their industry and her reluctance to do that. Or, her desire to go a different way than what Sony is willing to support. Or, her parents desire to maintain her standards instead of buying into the race for money and sales. I don't know. Those are things the Evancho family will have to resolve. I know they will make the best choices for Jackie's future, not Sony's.
Sometimes, business contracts take a turn for the worst. Whatever the current circumstances are, I believe Sony will make amends for whatever impact they have had on Jackie's career. It is in their long term interest to do that. I'm not defending Sony. I don't know if there are bad feelings or higher expectations or disappointment with her contracts. Only Jackie can speak to that.
As a fan, watching this prodigy excel in a phenomenal career to a world-class entertainer that has brought only love and sunshine to millions of fans, I would be angered by any company in the music industry that would deliberately handicap Jackie's career. Maybe Sony is not the best place for her at this stage. Maybe she is ready to move on to different things. She is a very smart young lady and will decide where she wants her career to go. She will let us concerned fans know when she makes that choice.
An irony here is that Jackie may be a victim of her own success. At 15 she has reached the top and now must choose which direction to go. Her concerts are consistently sold out, her fandom continues to grow, and there are fans disappointed because they can't get a ticket to her next concert. She has to decide to move to a bigger venue to accommodate the crowds who are anxious to see her. That may be a sticking point with her current contracts neither she, her parents nor Sony were prepared for. Growing pains at the industrial level, so to speak. She could headline at Mandalay Bay, but is not old enough to do that on her own. She could fill stadiums, but it conflicts with her performing style. Quite a dilemma for a 15 year old teenager to deal with. She has my sympathy. Maybe she can get some constructive advice from David Foster. I hear he has some experience with this.

If Jackie has to continue singing these beautiful melodies , she has to eschew pop. Now pop is where the money, fame and glamor is like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Lady GG. If a rich patron like silicon valley Moghuls or the Hollywood Moghuls want to be her patron and sponsor her for life, then she will be able to eschew the temptation of going pop and still be rich enough in life so she does not have to ever work again or look for a superstar -sportman to marry her and support her.

TheGecko213 Jackie has never aspired to be rich and hasn't considered the money side of the business until just recently. She has often said that all she wants is to become supper famous. I estimate that she and her parents have attained 3-4 million from her singing over many years of very hard work. I think SME and her desires are moving her in the direction of the upbeat pop and light rock genres of music. It called "Spiel mir das Lied vom Tod" (German), If translated into English then like: "Play a song of death for me." somewhat different than it´s original american title: "Once upon a time in the West".
It's a really brutal movie full of killings(including children) and bad guys. It's not a love story.....

Different voices. Amira's future, with her voice, is opera. Jackie never had, nor claimed to have, an opera voice. Hers is a classical voice. Jackie's is also more versatile than Amira's. She is capable of singing other genres.
Although Jackie is a good singer she can not be mentioned in the same breath as Edda, Dulce Pontes or Susanna Rigacci, which im sure Jackie would agree with.
john cole Edda is one a dimensional singer and not a classical Cross-over artist like Ms. Evancho. They can't be compared. Ms. Evancho is multidemesional and can't be duplicated. One of a kind.
