Good and informative video what you did not mention was that oil exploration is very capital intensive the deposits you are talking about needs special expertise to extract this oil as it occurs in shale rock and to take it out you have to pump hot water into the bore hole at high pressure which cracks the rock formation releasing the oil. It’s at great depth. An America invented the method and they have the technology. Besides more oil in the market means less profit so new finds are not in the interest of large producers.Pakistan is far from self reliant in any field as personal interest override national issues. This has ruined the country. Since 1971 we have lost our way. Like you said India pays a company which has exploratory rights in Thar. It is unbelievable, I hope PTI get over the other massive hurdles Pakistan faces today to be able the to pay attention to oil exploration, Olive farming and so much more, the country has tremendous potential yet to be tapped. I think Pakistan does not need to explore the oil in Thar. It is already explored. The company was tasked to pull out the known oil reserve but India has stopped the company to not extract oil on the Pakistan side to save oil for use by India. Pakistan is still waiting and has not taken up the case to an international court. The exact position can only be explained by the concerned Minister of Petroleum of Pakistan. No journalist asks this question and no Parliamentarian is interested to know the reality.

Good and informative video what you did not mention was that oil exploration is very capital intensive the deposits you are talking about needs special expertise to extract this oil as it occurs in shale rock and to take it out you have to pump hot water into the bore hole at high pressure which cracks the rock formation releasing the oil. It’s at great depth. An America invented the method and they have the technology. Besides more oil in the market means less profit so new finds are not in the interest of large producers.Pakistan is far from self reliant in any field as personal interest override national issues. This has ruined the country. Since 1971 we have lost our way. Like you said India pays a company which has exploratory rights in Thar. It is unbelievable, I hope PTI get over the other massive hurdles Pakistan faces today to be able the to pay attention to oil exploration, Olive farming and so much more, the country has tremendous potential yet to be tapped. I think Pakistan does not need to explore the oil in Thar. It is already explored. The company was tasked to pull out the known oil reserve but India has stopped the company to not extract oil on the Pakistan side to save oil for use by India.
Pakistan is still waiting and has not taken up the case to an international court. The exact position can only be explained by the concerned Minister of Petroleum of Pakistan. No journalist asks this question and no Parliamentarian is interested to know the reality.
The licence holder who is not working since the last 15 years must be forfeited for economical crime.
