- This is from that same lot that the WRGB-TV sign-off was found back in December of last year: • WRGB-TV 6 Sign Off (1992)
I actually have a fifth (overall) sign-off from a different tape that I have yet to upload from WJHG in Panama City Beach from May 1992, and that actually has a pretty good story to go along with it, so stay tuned for that (how many times have I said that and not followed through, lol.).
Enjoy!
This is how I think WXTV's English-language sign-off spiel is like, since it starts abruptly at "-of the best".
"This concludes another day of programming. Portions of tonight's programs were prerecorded and electronically reproduced. We invite you to join us again when we begin another day of the best in Spanish-language programming. From all of us here at WXTV channel 41, have a good night."
It is followed by the Spanish sign-off speech. At 0:49 , the US national anthem by the Blue Angels plays. At the last notes of the national anthem, the chroma keyed station identification logo is shown at where the flag is waving. After that, it shows the WXTV 41 logo, probably followed by the color bars which would go on until 5 or 6 am.
This is actually pretty cool. Keep it up man!
This should be kept within a digital museum or something...
With the static station ID telop at the end. That’s old school for you. At 2:05
Así concluimos nuestra programación del día de hoy algunos segmentos fueron pregrabados les invitamos a que nos acompañen nuevamente cuando iniciemos otro día de la mejor programación en español su canal 41 les desea a todos muy buenas noches
I didn't even discover Univision later in the 90's.
Nice
How kuvn new York sister station hear English language sign off? Like my CW station the female announcer say to new Yorkers are not speaking English: this concludes another day of programming. Portions of tonight's programs were pre-recorded and electronically reproduced. We invite you to join us again when we begin another day of the best in Spanish-language programming. From all of us here at wxtv channel 41, have a good night" seconds later the Spanish announcer do the same. Nice tranmate.
