  • AMA West Hare Scramble series Jacksonville Oregon. Took the bike to the line. Warmed it up several times. Just before the time to go, the bike wouldn’t start. I did find out after, that it was a fouled plug. I think I’ll look into running a different plug.

I tore into it when I got home and it was just the fouled plug. It’s ready for prineville now. Hope to see your video. I want to see what I missed

@Rustychain a new plug might get it running again but that won't prevent it from happening again unless something changes. Having to carry a plug and plug wrench to ride your new bike isn't great.😬

I need to remove the tank just to get to the plug, so believe me im on it. looking into a different type of plug now.

@@1Rustychain I just warmed mine up before I headed to the start. I did not rev up at the line. Sounds like over revving it up adds to much fuel that can foul the plug? Lots of stuff out there on the TBI warm up procedures. I’m not an expert but I’ve never fouled a plug yet with 30 hrs. Was looking forward to racing with you.

I think this was one of the toughest races I’ve done. Too bad your spark plug fouled

Yeah I was really bummed. I really wanted to ride this thing up there. I think the dirt was perfect too. I wanted to also find out just how far I was going to be able to go and if I needed to refuel. Guess will figure that out on the next one. I did put in a new plug and it started right up no problem. The only problem is the the seat and the tank need to come off just to get the plug out which sucks. Next stop Prineville.

I’ve heard Husky doesn’t foul plugs. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂. Bummer for sure not even getting off the line. How does your vent hoses look? Only time I’ve fouled a plug was at the D100 all three vent hoses were plugged.

Well I know that the 23 husky 300tx has the same top end. That said. It was probably me that cause the issue. Maybe letting it idle to long and over time the plug finally gave out. Maybe run a hotter plug. Im not sure yet. It ripps when It does run though. LoL. In the learning curve I guess.
