Nice idea! Will try for gift giving this year!!! They are super cute for sure!
I love these sachets gifts using rice. If I need shreds I run paper through my paper cutter. I use scrap paper, newspaper, tissue and brown lunch bags.
I make my paper fringes for the bottom of the package buy running paper (used) through my paper shredder. I also have a small hand held paper cutter for making paper beads. Works great and in no time at all. Shred and save in a bag for the next project.
Love this, thanks for sharing
Very clever can't wait to make some !!!

Love this!
Love it!
So dang cute lady!!! TFS!!! 🌺😊🌺
So cute with the burlap ribbon! Just a quick tip--if you don't cut the bottom, then you won't have to seal the bottom and the possibility of it leaking. Again, these are adorable!
these are both so cute. you could also use cotton balls if you did not want to use rice.
Sweet (no pun intended) idea! Veronica
What a very creative idea and really cute too. Would make perfect Xmas tree pressies to hang, tree would smell lovely too. lol hugs Tibby xxxx
You can use a shredder to do paper shreds really quick. Don't know how the crosscut shredder would work. I've used a regular shredder and it worked great!
Adorable! Love this! Thanks for the idea!
Thanks!!
sooooooo cute!
Tmika, I really like this..thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks, lady!!
Where do you get the plastic pkg? Thanks love it. Hugs from Ky.💙
wow, love it. Where do you get the scents to soak in rice. Any type of rice. These are so nice. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Annette
Really pretty. I'll use this idea,if you don't mind..
beautiful....did you ever find the containers?
Did you cook that rice to make it more pores ?
Doesn't the rice spoil or rot.?
I tried this my rice ended up smelling funny.. I smell the scent but it also has like a baby powder type smell from the rice which is over powering the scent.. Did you wash the rice first?
Oh no! I use long grain white rice from the Dollar tree and the drops. That's it! It lasted a LONG time. No after smell nothing. I did not was the rice before. Sorry it not working for you :(
+scrapdaworld maybe I should just try a different brand of rice. 🤔
Zombiemermaid -Try using cotton balls. I used to make sachets with rice and had the same experience. Cotton balls make it puffy and pretty! Hope this helps!
Melissa Edwards thank you so much for the tip, I'm definitely going to give it a try
