Office Desk Part Two

- In this the second part of my office desk video I build the steel frame of the desk.
I start by cutting all the parts that will be welded together making sure that the scale on the ends of each section that will be welded is cleaned back to bare metal.
Building the desk in two sections was out of necessity as the space it will be placed in is limited.
The main frame id built from 40*40*3 mm box section and the infills used to bolt both sections together are 30*30*3mm box section.
The feet are 8mm diameter.
The paint I used as usual is black hammerite.
In part three I will be assembling the frame and fitting the top.

how much did you save going this route?
StefanUrkel I'm not 100% sure how much I saved but because I made it to measure and to my own spec it saved me time looking for the right desk.

Which welding you use ??
I use mig welding. I used to use flux cored wire which you don't need to use gas with but I didn't like the finish so I modified the little welder to use gas.
