    Love the video. Great information and scenery. Kruger is an exceptional place and travel destination. I'm tentatively hoping to be there later this year. Great to see content from people with a huge love and respect for what is protected there! Keep it up man.

    Like your video! But have to correct a bit the world´s largest national park is the North East Greenland National Park (Greenland/Denmark) at 972.000 km2!

      @@Theexperienceafrica thank you for your reply. Sounds good, if I make it out there, you can be my tour guide. 😊
      Lions are my favorite animal. Is canned lion hunt still going on in South Africa? Hope the government banned this hunt!
      God bless you.

      @@janesuk1442 My Pleasure, and hopefully you do things are back to "normal" again and prices are going up. If I am not busy I'd love to be your guide. Unfortunately, where there is the money it is very difficult to fully stop something such as canned lion hunting, SA is vast and most of the land where this happens is private land.

    Disgusting and disappointing and saddening that ANYBODY would drop any refuse in this reserve. It’s horrible enough a big city,
    but you’d think people would not even have to be told not to pollute a place like this.

    Curteis, we hartily congratulate you on this video. My wife and I have talked about the need for a short induction type of video that HAS to be viewed by EVERY visitor to the Park, BEFORE entry, enforcing the attitude of responsible and safe behaviour while visiting this unique area. As you have mentioned, much of the human behaviour (or MISbehaviour) is due to lack of knowledge and understanding how to enjoy this experience. The animals are WILD and its their home - this requires responsible behaviour from visitors for their own safety and enjoyment. We feel you have made a great start and look forward to your future episodes

      Thank you so much for this beautiful comment. Honestly It is the reason I spent the time and money to create these videos. I want to help people. I want other people to have a great experience. I am thankful for your feedback as well because it helps me. I think about new videos to make, like this one. Stay tuned. I have spent the whole month of March so far in Kruger.
      I can't wait to post more edutainment.

    You can't leave the road and it get's to busy at times. When i first went on a safari in 1981 ( Kenya) we were riding in a open jeep and didn't see any other verhicle in Tsavo East.

    • @Theexperienceafrica
      @Theexperienceafrica  Před 5 měsíci

      No in Kruger there is no leaving the road like in the Greater Kruger and in Tanzania and Kenya. This is why Greater Kruger like Sabi Sands is better than most places. I would say if you can choose between Umkumbe and Kruger Gate I would go with Umkumbe Safari Lodge in Sabi Sands.

    Great video. Historically, I have visited Kruger many many times, but I have not been in many years. I will be visiting again in October, towing a caravan. I have booked at Pretoriuskop, but nervous about Numbi gate. How safe is it now to travel that road? Thanks in advance.

    Hello! Thanks for the videos and the info. I am planning my first trip to South Africa for next summer. My idea would be to fly to Cape Town and spend 3-4 days there. I will then travel along the coast to Port Elizabeth. At this point I still don't know whether to dedicate a day or two to Addo or fly directly to Kruger. I was thinking of skipping the Addo and dedicating 2 more days to Kruger. I will therefore book a Port Elizabeth-Kruger flight (I don't know which airport yet. I saw that there are several....). Once landed, I will collect the car and start the safari. I thought to base it on two zones (Skukuza seems to me the best choice for the first time and then I'll choose a smaller one. Any suggestions are welcome!). I will alternate solo safaris with organized tours. I was wondering if you also need to pre-book the activities (bush walks, night safaris,...) or can they be reserved on site? I still don't know how many days I will have available but it will be between 4 and 6. After the safari I would like to travel through the Blyde River Canyon region and arrive in Joannesburg, where I will take the return flight. An alternative would be to skip these two points and visit Durban where I would fly back. Any suggestions or comments on my program are welcome. Thanks again for the video! Hello! Simone

      Hello Simone!! sounds very exciting and I am sure you are really looking forward to this Safari. I have a lot of information that I can provide you but essentially what I would be doing is planning your trip for you and being a free travel advisor. So I will give you my opinion on the questions you've asked if you want professional advice you can email me at Curteis@experienceafrica.co.za. Yes to skipping Addo it's not worth it. 3-6 days is enough for the Kruger and the Blyde canyon which you must do. Activities can be booked on arrival but depends on whether it is high or low season. by us, high season can be very busy.

      Skukuza is the biggest camp sleeps over 1000 people my suggestion would be Lower Sabie or Berg en Dal my favorite camps.

      Hello there!! November is a good time if they rain because then a lot of babies will be born. The Impala should have their babies soon. It can be very hot around 40C, and there can be a lot of thunderstorms. Be careful in Hazyview its very busy place. Stay away from Bushbuckridge and Acornhoek because they are townships, and it is very dangerous
